I apologize if my pics offend anyone, but I really want people to see how the process has been for me with at least some clothing on and to be honest, the granny panties just dont fit anymore. This is me, 5 months post surgery...still a work in progress.

Name One Good And Bad Surprize After Being Banded!
GOOD: three years out I am a size 6 and this is actually easy. BAD: hmmmm, nope, nothing.

Vegetarians/vegans!
I eat lots of beans and nuts. I probably eat too much cheese.I do love a Boca since its 21 grams of protein but I avoid most of the soy stuff because its loaded with estrogen (cancer for us girls, man boobs for the boys)...I start every day with the Cosco Premier Protein shake fr 160cals and 30 grams of protein...

Why So Tight In The A.m.?
Mollie is exactly right...during the night body fluids shift out of our cells and into the spaces in between cells...mine goes exactly like my wedding band snug in the morning (shake only), good during the day, and then too loose at night...my ring is slipping off and I have to have the discipline not to do the evening snacking while watching TV!!! I think since I am three years out this variabilty is the hardest thing about the band...

So Excited! Tt Four Years After Lapband!
I have heard its pretty brutal but short-lived and well worth it...I am chicken to do it and I hate to lay out that amount of cash...especially since my port already looks like a golf ball and they said that wont go away...

Total Carb #'s And Sodium #'s A Day???
For me the whole point of this band is not to diet because I failed at that so many times..I do always eat protein first (minimum 60 grams a day) but thats really it. I have logged my food because people have asked me what and how much I eat and its about 1000 calories daily. I try to eat plants and not too many things made in plants! (factories!)...best of luck. I believe this is simple and we really over think it!

Question Help
Its hard but dont judge your progress by not losing in two weeks...if you are eating 1200 cals a day or less it will come off. I cant eat a whole sandwich but I have my band pretty tight and I like it that way. I eat about 1000 cals a day and I am really never depriving myself or dieting...also I dont exercise so if you do you can eat more...

I'm At Newbie At This!
I am three years out and I keep food with me at all times. I eat normal food but I dont like to let myself get too hungry. I almost always have nuts or cheese or something in my purse...you are right to try to plan ahead...

When Did You Get Your First Fill?
First, what would it cost for a fill? (this is money well spent on your health if you need it). Green zone is feeling satisfied on tiny portions and it can take many fills to get there. I got three fills totalling 6cc in a 10cc band to get to my first green zone so I say get started now if you can afford it. I lost my green zone a couple of times as I lost weight as fat is disappearing under your band...good luck.
