wondering how its going these days...I havent been on this site in a while. I am just cruising along at normal BMI and feeling good.
  4. Get your protein first and then have the salad!
  5. Please dont already start making excuses for failing...the protein shakes etc are in every grocery store...just do it!
  6. Did you fly? That always tightens me up and I have to do at least a day of liquids them a day of mushies...
  7. Normal healing!
  8. If you think you can or you cant, you are right...just do it...yes it sucks.
  9. I got my first restriction at 6ccs in a 10cc band...how much do you have?
  10. GOOD: three years out I am a size 6 and this is actually easy. BAD: hmmmm, nope, nothing.
  11. I eat lots of beans and nuts. I probably eat too much cheese.I do love a Boca since its 21 grams of protein but I avoid most of the soy stuff because its loaded with estrogen (cancer for us girls, man boobs for the boys)...I start every day with the Cosco Premier Protein shake fr 160cals and 30 grams of protein...
  12. Mollie is exactly right...during the night body fluids shift out of our cells and into the spaces in between cells...mine goes exactly like my wedding band snug in the morning (shake only), good during the day, and then too loose at night...my ring is slipping off and I have to have the discipline not to do the evening snacking while watching TV!!! I think since I am three years out this variabilty is the hardest thing about the band...
  13. I have heard its pretty brutal but short-lived and well worth it...I am chicken to do it and I hate to lay out that amount of cash...especially since my port already looks like a golf ball and they said that wont go away...
  14. For me the whole point of this band is not to diet because I failed at that so many times..I do always eat protein first (minimum 60 grams a day) but thats really it. I have logged my food because people have asked me what and how much I eat and its about 1000 calories daily. I try to eat plants and not too many things made in plants! (factories!)...best of luck. I believe this is simple and we really over think it!
  15. Its hard but dont judge your progress by not losing in two weeks...if you are eating 1200 cals a day or less it will come off. I cant eat a whole sandwich but I have my band pretty tight and I like it that way. I eat about 1000 cals a day and I am really never depriving myself or dieting...also I dont exercise so if you do you can eat more...
  16. I am three years out and I keep food with me at all times. I eat normal food but I dont like to let myself get too hungry. I almost always have nuts or cheese or something in my purse...you are right to try to plan ahead...
  17. First, what would it cost for a fill? (this is money well spent on your health if you need it). Green zone is feeling satisfied on tiny portions and it can take many fills to get there. I got three fills totalling 6cc in a 10cc band to get to my first green zone so I say get started now if you can afford it. I lost my green zone a couple of times as I lost weight as fat is disappearing under your band...good luck.
