  1. Yay, a magic person called Ken fixed my pics!

  2. seems like my before and after pix are gone...starting to hate how user-unfriendly this site has become!

  3. ok magical drift now 142...dang!

  4. Weight has magically drifted to 139! When/if I get to 135 I will do a new after photo...this one was at 145.

  5. So many truly wonderful people on ths site...many times you have kept me going as I don't think anyone who isn't banded can understand what band life is!

  6. I finally put up my before and after photos! I have lost 5 pounds since the last one (normal BMI 145 lbs). I strongly advise doing pix all along the process, I did mine at ten-pound intervals!

  7. Feel like I ate like a pig over the holiday but it just feels that way because the band makes me feel full on tiny portions...didnt gain a pound!

  8. Havent heard from you in a while...your ticker looks good! Hows it going??? I was banded the day before you. I lost my weight slowly but I think thats best...its just a lifestyle now!

  9. Glad to hear you had the wisdom to get a fill...the old habit of just blaming ourselves and then trying to diet is hard to break! My 0.3cc made a huge difference for me...I still have to be really careful not to snack it up at night...me and Meko love our snax! I let myself have a glass of wine after dinner in exchange for not snacking!

  10. My body is not perfect but I am perfectly happy with it!

  11. Ask me anything! I think I am a great friend on Lap Band because i am a lazy slacker and it worked for me! Plus we were both born in 63!

  12. Keep on going till you get what you need!!!

  13. Seems like maintenance is a plateau...a good one!

  14. You sound like me and now that I am in maintenance I am so glad I got the band even though I had to self pay! You will get lots of support here and very honest answers!

  15. Hey! Hows it going? I think I am levelling off around 140 and I think that's ok. I'm happy here. Of course I would like to see 139 but I'm not making any effort!

  16. OK, Halloween candy = 2 pounds! :(

  17. Heres my surgical advice if you want it: If you have a tummy that is big enough to schlump over when you lay on your side, get an abdominal binder for after surgery...it was on me when I woke up but you can get it at a drugstore. it made a HUGE difference in getting comfortable the first week after surgery! It just kept that sore area from being able to move around and cause pain!

  18. Yes! But it gets better every day and you will get good drugs! AND... its totally worth it!!

  19. Yes those seashells had to be made a bit smaller but I liked being a skinny mermaid! Today is candy day!

  20. I LOVED your questions blog! I started at 215 lbs and a month or so ago I got to normal BMI at 145. It was slow for me because my fill doc was so far away but it was and is relatively easy. I never dieted or exercised.I guess I failed every other diet for the past 20 years so I was scared to fail this too! Good luck!

  21. My first Halloween at a normal weight...I ordered a mermaid costume. I may not be able to fill out those 'shells' without some padding but at least I wont look like Ursula from Little Mermaid!

  22. How's it going??

  23. I am 48 and was obese for 20 years...I think dieting made me fat! Anyway this is the best thing I have ever done and at this point (maintenance) I would say its easy. I also wish I could have done this much earlier in life!

  24. Hang in there...its a long haul and you have done well! Its mostly mental now but I think that's the hardest part, dont you?
