  1. I was so encouraged to see your post. I also had surgery on May 31st. My highest weight has been 200, which was only a few pounds over what I was when I went into surgery. I have been feeling a little depressed because I didn't think I was losing enough. I have heard story after story of people who lose thrity plus pounds their first month. Just like you, I have only lost about twenty. I can tell a difference, but I have been unable to be satisfied. And to top it off, I am exercising just about every day. I am also a teacher- this is my second year. I thought that was pretty cool! Congrats on your decision and good luck with future progress!
  2. Hey guys. I am brand new to this forum. I am one month shy of turning 25 and just had my Lap Band done May 31st. I have been overweight almost my whole life. I have never really enjoyed being big, but is all I have ever known. Now after one month out I have been hearing stories of peolpe who have lost 30+ pounds and I am a little discouraged. I have only lost about 15. I know that it will be a process, and I can't wait to get skinnier. But like some of you have said, I can hardly picture myself any different. This is going to be an interesting trip! Sorry I don't have any pictures or goal charts up yet, I haven't messed around with things enough to know how to do it.
  3. Howdy, I just came out of surgery a week ago tomorrow. I have been trying so hard to stay true to the post-op directions, but I feel that I don't have a true grasp of what I am supposed to do. Like-am I supposed do only have my liquid diet at meal times? When I do eat, should I eat an ounce, wait a while then continue? I have been having a terrible time with the gas pain and with burping any time I eat or drink. Can you guys please give me any helpful hints that you have learned? Thanks, Vanessa:help:
