Thank you for the compliments!! When I went last week I had lost 7lbs. in a month. I will hit plateaus for a couple of weeks, then it starts picking up again. I try to change up my exercising and my dietician told me this last visit I was using 2 much protein mix so instead of 2 scoops I backed off to just 1. Weight has started dropping again. Seems like little changes get the weight to coming off. I wish you luck. My husband will probably be posting on here soon, he had his surgery today with Dr. Swain.

I have had one fill so far, back in June. I went back to the Dr. last week and he said I was doing so good I didn't need another yet. I feel so good doing this (as I use to come home in a sugar coma after work)that I choose not to eat any sweets or bread. I drink a scoop of protein mix (Body Fortress) in with my coffee in the morning and get the rest of my protein throughout the day. I have made sure to implement exercise. I now have a bicycle that I ride and alternate walking & riding at least 3x a week. Also, don't get discouraged I have hit 2 -3weeks plateaus where I wouldn't lose anything, then weight would start dropping again. It takes alot for our bodies to get use to these changes. I was looking through before and after pictures and was really happy to see that the lapband is working for you. I must also admit that I am quite jealous! ha. I was wondering if you have had any fills yet. So far, I lost more weight doing the protein shake diet BEFORE the operation than what I have lost after it! You've lost so much in just 7-8 weeks! It's been 4 weeks for me and nothing much is happening. Keep up the good work. And advice would be great! And congratulations on you wedding.

looking good!! Dr. Swain did mine 1/15...need to get some before and after pics on here. Down 50 so far...got out of the gate fast but have slowed down on my weight loss dramatically. Teresa

I had my surgery on 5/7/09. My first fill was on 6/2/09. Down 33lbs., but I have been at a standstill on the scale (No loss or gain) for a week. Yesterday I started having trouble eating. I ate about 1/2 of a chicken patty from a chicken biscuit (I threw out the biscuit) and had trouble keeping it down. Today friends at work asked me to go out for lunch- mexican-I only had enough meat to fill one tortilla and I didn't think I would make it getting my meal paid before I got sick. I had to sit in my truck 10mins hurting and then spit up (I guess what everyones calling sliming) after that it did get better. This evening I ate a small can of chicken salad spread cause I knew that would be really soft and had trouble with that too. Does this mean the band is too tight? I thought I'd had chewed long enough or maybe do I just have to back off and eat less if it is tighter now? Any help is appreciated.

I had my surgery on 5/7. I have lost a total of 30lbs. so far. I was on a 1 week liver shrinking pre-op diet. My first fill will be on 6/2. -
