  16. Please add me to your blocked list NaNa. You weren't taking any poll. You were simply trying to do the same as you've done since you've come back on here. Trying to put yourself on a pedestal because you've been banded for "8 years". I could respect your opinion if you would just say "these are my suggestions". If you really wanted to take a poll, why not just ask the question and leave it at that? No need to explain to everyone how smart you are and how you "educate surgeons". Ever wonder why all your many friends left OH?
  17. 45 MPH?!?! You rock! & looking at your avg HR, you're new ride is quite the workout. Great job Terry.

  19. My first 10 MILE run today! http://connect.garmin.com/activity/401499435
  20. I wasn't referring to this procedure. This ( I think ) is referencing just the stitching of a portion of the stomach around the band to secure it. I had that done. I was referring to a complete stomach plication where they sew your stomach in on itself to simulate a sleeve...in addition to banding. From everything I have read and seen, it has been very effective. Just my opinion.
  21. My intentions are not to badmouth any other WLS procedure here, just offer what I see. I've had my band for a little over four years now...and had NO band caused problems. So, yes I'm thrilled with my choice. What I will pass along is this: I attend a local support group meeting in my area when my work schedule allows. There are RNY, sleeve, and band patients there. There are successful and happy people with each surgery...no question about it. The one thing that always stands out to me when someone that has had bypass or sleeve shows up saying they are no longer losing, or have started to regain even.... all the support group experts can offer is to tell them to diet. So sad as we've been doing that for years without success. For band patients, its "get an adjustment!" Easy decision for me...I'd do the same procedure again tomorrow in a heartbeat! But would look at adding plication.
  22. Congrats! Wishing you a speedy recovery and great days ahead.
  23. Hell Yeah my friend! Today was a 5k run for me before work this evening. Good job everyone! Keep it up, one step/day at a time.
