Interesting thing, I never had heartburn until I got lap band... Especially the last few years it's been bad had to empty my band twice completely and heartburn got better after emptying. Heartburn is the main reason I revising to bypass but also I feel that sleeve is such a hype right now like lap band was back in the day, plus sleeve is not good for those that are prone to heartburn, I don't want to go through another revision in the future.
Hope you are feeling more at peace about your surgery, I can't wait to have a date. Right now I am waiting for approval for insurance... It will be a week on Friday... It's like watching Water boil.... But I already have my appointments set up for surgery clearance in middle of April so if everything goes well I am thinking end of April beginning of May I should have my surgery. Can't wait for s new beginning.....

I have the ninja with auto iq. I've had it for about 5 months. It works great. I add frozen fruit, spinach or kale. It blends it up really smooth. It does have the individual size cups. It's loud, but it has a lot of power.

iwanttobethin brought up a great point that most people are unaware of. If you get an insurance denial, call the insurance company and ask them who is reviewing your case. Most companies don't want you to know that is nothe someone qualified to make that decision. These people get paid to say NO!!! BUT if you call and question them on it, you will almost always get an approval!!!! I work in a specialists office and we see this all the time. NEVER TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!!

I'm a C.T. tech and I am having surgery on 3/28. I was hesitant at first to tell my coworkers, but I actually work with a great group. They have been very supportive. You will always hear nightmares, but just think of all the patients that do have it without complications.

I'm having a revision on 3/28. I to had lost 90 lbs and, then I started having problems vomiting when eating. I went back to the surgeon and I had a UGI which showed a dilated esophagus. He took all the saline out. It was like that for 3 months, and still unable to have a fill. Then it was recommended for me to have a revision. My insurance denied me at first. I typed up a 3 page letter stating all of the problems that I am having with the band. I also called the insurance company to find out what type of physician reviewed my case. It was an internal medicine dr. In my letter I requested that a bariatric surgeon review my case, and I was approved right away. I can't wait for the band to come out. I chew so many tums! Lol.
