    Night eating problems...anyone???

I agree that you need to talk to your doctor about it...if you are doing it in your sleep and not even remembering, except by finding evidence in the morning, then you cant get mad at yourself. its not like you are making the conscious decision to eat those foods. there is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed--its NOT your fault, and the more you beat yourself up about it the worse your moral will be causing you to loose sight of your goals. good luck, let us know what the doctor says!
  4. I have been struggling too. i went 2 months without losing anything. then i stuck to the diet for 2 weeks and lost 5 lbs. in two weeks. fortunately and unfortunately i started a new job--great that i started working--bad for the diet. I get to eat for free in the cafeteria where i work, only problem is there are FEW healthy choices. and i find myself eating things i shouldnt eat. its not so much the quantity that i am having trouble with--its the quality. i work from 6a-6p, so its really hard for me to get motivated to get up early to pack a healthy Breakfast and lunch especially since the food is free. i think its a good idea to start the shakes if you havent lost weight in a week--i havent tried it yet. i think i will try it this week. thanks for the idea. good luck with getting a fill!!!

EA Sports Active Personal Trainer for the Wii

well it seems you are all happy with the exercise you are getting from this game. I am actually looking into getting the wii system and some games so i have an indoor type of exercise that i enjoy (I just moved from florida to Michigan--so i know in the winter i need indoor activities) any other suggestions of other games to buy or if you think the wii is worth it??

Birth Control Pill and Weight Loss

i have been taking the pills since right after my surgery. i have the same issue with heavy periods. i havent noticed any difference in the weight loss. maybe you should try a different brand of BCP. I know different combinations of hormones affect people differently. my favorite for me is Yasmin!!!

Lap Band AP, 10cc or 14cc?

I have the Realize band also...my doc asked me if i had a preference and i said i trusted them to choose what they thought would be best for me. He tends to like the realize band and have good results with that band so he choose to use that for me. I figured he is the expert so he should use what he sees me succeeding with. I have had 3 fills for a total of 5 cc in a 9cc band. i just had a fill last week so right now i feel pretty good about my restriction.

    Eating and Drinking - Together

I too have trouble not drinking. I used to LOVE diet coke before surgery and now i switched to Water, but i drink just as much. my doc told me i was allowed to drink up until the first bite....like if i was at a resturaunt i could drink until the food comes out...and then not to drink for 90 min. after eating. I find it helpful to not even have any drink at the table with me...if its there i will no doubt take a drink without even thinking about it. i have to admit if i have something hot or spicy i do have a couple sips with my food. i find it helpful to get up and do something after ive eaten too...i need the distraction so i dont fixate on the fact that i cant drink anything. LoL

    Fresh Start

I have started a food diary again...i find when i dont do it...i tend to eat more than i realize. it has really helped...trying to stay around 1000 calories or less per day. I also went on a 45 min. walk last night. took the dogs and it felt great. i just need to keep it up and then after a few days add some other types of exercise....bike riding, or im thinking about getting some roller blades. ive also been thinking about getting a Wii Fit to help during the winter (I just moved to Michigan from Florida--so im used to walking and doing other outdoor activities for exercise) any one have advice on the wii fit?? does it really give you a work out?? or should i go for the boring old treadmill??
  13. Im in the same boat as you. Lately i was traveling a lot and it seemed just "easier" to cheat on the diet. I was eating out and eating a lot of "snack" foods since i didnt have a house of my own. I agree that it helps me sometimes to have a small amount of something i really want--if i dont then i just obsess on it and want to binge later. i am moved into a new place now and have decided i only buy things to bring in the house that fit in the diet. if i do want a little treat i get a single serving of what i want and when it is gone its gone. no big portions for grazing. congrats on your 60 lbs. weight loss. keep up the good work!
  14. so sorry to hear about your company. i posted my last response before reading that. keep looking on the bright side...you will be skinny and beautiful soon and im sure you will get any job you want
  15. I had surgery on a wed. and was would have been able to go back on Monday. I think 3 days post op i was still a little tired and loopy from the pain meds. everyone is a little different so it just depends on how your body handles it. my advice would be to keep your pain under control. take the pain meds every 4-6 hours the first 48 hours whether you feel like you need it or not. it is easier to prevent the pain from coming on than to get rid of it once it is there. good luck!
