    September 30th.

Hey Erin good luck!!! If your doctor ever figures out why you are feeling that way please keep us updated. I wonder if you are allergic to your band. Rare but it can happen. Good luck with the rest of your journey. Don't let anything get in your way of reaching your goal!!! You can do it.

    Intro

Hi Lisa!! Welcome! Congrats on getting approved for everything. Scheduling your surgery for Mid-November may be complicated. Especially with Thanksgiving. you are going to need a good 6 weeks of being on a strict diet. That is why I waited until after the 1st of the year. That way I could concentrate on what I needed to be doing and i didn't get distracted about all the goodies that come out around the Christmas time. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!!
  3. Hey Lynn!!! You can do it. As you start to get your fills it does get easier to maintain your hunger. "Bandster hell" sucks but you will get through it. Just take it one day at a time and remember the band is a tool to help you lose weight, you control the rest!!! We are all worried about being failures. It's up to us not to become one. Just remember whenever you are hungry, keep fresh fruits and vegetables on hand. That way if you are going to eat, it may as well be something healthy and good for you!!! Good luck with your journey!
  4. Thanks Carrie! I appreciate the vote of confidence!!!! Take care!!

  5. Hey Carrie!!! Was just getting ready to send you a message! Life is great. I cannot believe how much of a happier person I am these days. My weight loss is coming along slowly but surely. I am coming up on 75 lbs gone forever! I see you changed your picture. Lookin' good!!!!!

    Disney World Vacation

I just got back. We went for 6 nights/7 days. Our package included 6 day park hopper passes plus the disney dining plan. If you intend on staying at a resort there the disney dining plan is a must!!!! We got 1 quick service meal per day (which I was able to share with my mom), 1 snack and 1 sit down dinner. Disney resorts have a ton of nice, expensive restaurants. We had character dining 3 nights while we were there. The best was eating at Ohannas which is located at the Polynesian Resort. We stayed at Pop Century (really how long are you in your room for) and they bussed us everywhere. There were 8 of us going (2 rooms) and we paid $533 a person. Well worth it!!! We had an awesome time.

    What can't you eat??

I have the most problem with rotisserie chicken. For me the dryer my meat is the better. Grilled chicken goes down perfectly. I've never had any problems with anything else as long as I slow down and chew carefully.

so how much have u lost so far...?

I am 70 lbs down. I love my band. I'm loving life right now!!!! I am such a happy person it's unreal. This was the best decision that i've ever made! I walk 2-3 days a week and I do cardio 1-3 days a week as well. I love exercising. I am 103 lbs away from goal and when I get there I haven't quite decided what my reward will be.

    Not loosing!

Pretty much everyone quits losing during this time period. 1. your body is adjusting from being on a liquid diet to going back to eating regular food. 2. you are in bandster hell which is the time period between getting banded and getting decent restriction. Don't get discourged! Just stick to a good healthy diet in the meantime you will start to lose again.
  11. That's not too bad. I wish you the best of luck!!! If you have any questions at all along the way don't hesitate to ask!

  12. Where's the barix clinic at? I had mine done at Harper University HOspital in Detroit and I had an awesome experience.

October 1st will be here before you know it!!! When do you start your liquid diet?

    Name Your NSV

Well I have a few recent NSV's to share with y'all. I went on vacation with my family and I fit on the airplane seat no problems (even with both arm rests down!!! I didn't have to ask for a seat belt extender. The seat belt fit just fine, I even had to tighten it up. I could even cross my legs!!! I also used the bathroom with no problem whatsoever!!! Most importantly I got home and downloaded my photos and didn't cringe at myself. I thought to myself wow you are looking good. you got a ways to go but you are getting there.

I made it to my final goal!

Congrats to you! that is so awesome!!!! I'm still 100 lbs out from my goal so I'll be a while but i'm enjoying my weight loss along the way. I haven't weighed this much in over 10 years! My next goal is to weigh under 200 lbs and I have 42 lbs to go for that. I'm hoping to achieve that for my 1 year bandiversary.

    Side and stomach sleeping??

I am a side/stomach sleeper as well and it took me about 4 nights to be able to semi sleep on my side. I was in heaven when I was finally able to sleep on my stomach which was about 1 week out.
  16. Hi Cheryl. You can get back on track. Get back to bandster basics. eat your protein first then veggies and then if you are still hungry your carbs. Pack your lunch everyday. Lean cuisine and fruit is a good healthy lunch. Make sure you make dinner everynight. I love stirfry. it's easy to make and you have leftovers for days and it's healthy! Make sure in between you get in all your water. That's very important and also make sure to start walking. Good luck with getting back on track. You can do it! Remember you didn't go through this process to not do your part.

    Scared and unsure....help!

You can't feel the band. You can only feel your port. I jokingly refer to it as my tumor. The only time I felt nauteous was after my surgery when it was time to drink a protein shake. I had a hard time making myself drink those. IDK if it was because I was sick and tired of them by that point or what.

    70 lbs

As of this morning I have lost 70 lbs!!!! I was ecstatic. I have never lost this much weight in my life. This journey has not been easy. I have to work hard. I watch what I eat and I exercise. It's not fun when you are on vacation and can't really enjoy yourself at a restaurant because you know if you're not careful food can easily get stuck and bam you need to find a bathroom. On a recent trip to Disney World I couldn't enjoy myself at Chef Mickey's because I kept getting stuck. I spend the majority of my dinner running to the bathroom. It sucked. What was even more embarassing is we were eating lunch at our hotel and there wasn't a restroom around and I got stuck and had to throw up right there at the table. That was pretty embarassing. Thank god there weren't alot of people around and I got myself unstuck asap. Anyway, my 1 year goal is to be in onederland. I am 43 lbs away. I'm sure with hard work I will reach my goal.

Has anyone tried Slim in 6?

I was watching the infomercial today and was thinking about getting it. I like to change up my workouts since I don't have a gym membership. It guarantees 10 lbs and 10 inches lost in the 1st week.

    Exercise Motivation Needed

Swimming is a great exercise and you burn calories like crazy. Also I know you said it hurts to walk but maybe start out doing 5 minutes at a time and then increase it every 2 weeks by 5 minutes and see how that works out for you. Good luck! I know getting started isn't easy but once you do start you feel so much better.

    What am I doing wrong?

Get used to the belching it's going to be a long term thang. lol. I know it's embarassing. Sometimes all I have to do is lean forward and it just comes out.
  24. Yea another SE Michigan gal!!! Who's your doctor? What hospital you having/have had your procedure done out of?

  25. Yea it was pretty funny. Especially since I had to go down a flight of stairs and I pulled a muscle in my calf. Oh well. That's part of the price you have to pay.

You have a good weekend yourself!!!! 3 days off yay!
