I'm a military spouse in need of help. I have an appt. with my new primary care physician at UCSD on Friday. I also live very close to Naval Med Center San Diego where they perform the Lap Band surgery. I've heard that at the Naval Med Center there is less of a wait for surgery. I'm concerned about the wait time because we are being transferred in June. I don't know if I should keep my appt. & find out what I can on Friday or try to change my PCM to one at Balboa and go with them. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi everyone - I'm headed to my "mandatory" LapBand seminar at UCSD tomorrow night and have my 1st consult with my (new) primary physician on Friday. I'm excited to get the surgery however fear that I may not be approved by Tricare Prime as I don't have any other risk factors.
