  1. Hey everyone! I am new to this forum and have a few questions.:tt2: I have Aetna Open Access Plan, the surgery is excluded from my plan but if it is Medically ness. then I have a 50/50 of getting approved. I have done a 3 month supervised diet and had a consultation with the surgeon and he said that I was a canidate and also my PCP is behind me and even wrote a letter to back me has well. I have artiritis in all joints throughout my back and I have to have injections in my hip to help me walk and function clearly because the pain gets so bad. Also am a broder line diabetic which runs heavy in the family on both sides. So I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or any comments to help the stress level and fear of not being approved. I am doing this most of all for me to get healthy and to be more active with my children and husband. And have been looking into the lap band for 3 years know and have gotten to the point where it is time to do something for me! I am head strong and have done an intensive research and ready to go forward.

Hey Jodi, Yes, you did! I appreciate the advice. I am so nervous about this whole thing. But in god's will this will all come to pass. I just have left it in his hands at this point. I have a great surgeon and his staff is just amazing. But will definitly check out the requirments on that page just to make sure that I have everything that I need. Are you in GA? Thanks again, Dawn
