Oh i definitely have restriction now I had like 2.5 cc and now I have 5.5... Nothing has come up as of yet but I have to chew everything really well and breads, noodles, and dry meats hurt going down, YAY~ Kind of weird that one day I wan eat whatever and the next day I have to break my Multivitamin in half to avoid pain... Did things go well with you?

    Flouroscopy anyone?

I had this done on Friday. I went for a fill last week and my surgeon could not locate my port. He said as a lose weight it will be easier to find. My weight was pretty much the same for about 3 weeks and I told him I could pretty much eat what I want. He put 3cc into my already filled 2cc. For the fluoroscopy I laid down and they took still images on my stomach. Pretty cool to see my port. He poked around for a little bit and they took a side image to see how close he was. He was real close and he finally got it. Thank goodness for the lidocaine! It was real quick once he found it. Good luck!

Okay Bunnies... who have you told?

I have support of close friends and family members. I didn't want to tell work and I already had my gallbladder out. No bad karma there so I went ahead and used that excuse as it done laparoscopic as well. :cool2: I really want it to be my journey and not the knitting circle's topic of conversation. Plus I know this previously 400 lbs women who lost 200 after her gastric who co-workers think she does Weight Watchers.
  7. I was banded April 1st. No fill yet... I go for my xray and swallow test tomorrow. Should I be able to eat a whole yogurt? I guess just am having so many bodily functions I can't tell them apart (Abdomen pain/soreness, gas from surgery, hunger/stomach gurgling, burping, fullness?). I guess I am trying to ask what does full feels like? I was told when they put the band in it has a partial fill already so I am assuming I have some restriction. I am on full liquid still and I cannot tell when I am full. Should I even be thinking about fullness being a liquid diet anyways??? I guess I'll get to test it out as soon as I switch to the soft foods/blenderized phase. But does anyone have any input?
  8. I didn't... They told me to remove all clothing before I put the gown on
  9. Aloha, I was banded April 1st:)
  10. Aloha, I was just banded, last week, through Kaiser. I live in Kailua. Kaiser offers a support group called Webstiles but I was wondering if there are any other groups on the Windward side of Oahu who have been banded and get together?

  11. Hello I thought I would finally introduce my self here. I started the bariatric program through Kaiser in Honolulu in September 2008 and I was just banded on April 1st (Yesterday). Kaiser does bands as out-patient. Went in at 7:30 and I was home by 3:30. I vomited in the car as a reaction to all the pain meds and anesthesia they gave me. Right now I am very sore and I cannot tell the difference between the pain from the gas, the incisions in my abdomen, or feeling full from drinking too much liquids at one time. Right now I am just trying to rest and walk out the gas as much as possible. I also burp a lot but I am not sure if that is from just drinking something or the gas escaping?
