  3. Hi, I am doing pretty good. How are you doing? I got my first fill on Feb 24th and he added 2cc and for about a week it helped now I can eat more then what I should and I dont get another fill untill Mar 24th ugh!!! My weight is staying the same and I am even working out. I have lost only 35 pounds and wish I could get more off just wish I could become fuller faster when eating. In the long run I know it will all come together just is a slow ride to get where I want to be at. Take Care J-ME

  4. Hello, I am doing pretty good, glad to hear that you are doing the same. I am able to finally eat food again which is nice. I get my first fill on Feb 24 which is really nice because I am feeling hungry alot faster then back when I had surgery. My weight loss is doing good and down a size sometimes I wish it would come off faster but cant complain... Take care Jamie

    Thoughts

First off congrats on your weight loss!!! I have the same worries your not alone, I never knew how much I have relied on food, when I was mad I ate when I was happy I ate when I was sad I ate. The worst part of it all is that I am trying to deal with not having that anymore in my life. I am trying to find something I really enjoy doing or something around the house that I could do instead of always looking for something to eat to comfort me. I am scared too when I get the go ahead to eat whatever I want , I just hope that I am strong to pick the right foods to eat and with the band as a tool to eat right portions. I am so glad we have this site to beable to get the support we need and let our fustration out.
  6. I totally know how you feel. The tasting temptations. I am too getting real hungry quick and able to eat more ugh!! I see my doctor Feb 3rd for another nutrition class and hopefully a fill who knows just hanging on for the ride. Though just think how good we are going to look :) with our new bodies.......

  7. I hear ya when you say slime in your mouth yuck!!!! My nurse said I could have scramble eggs and cottage chz but I am so darn tired of the same old foods.... I have to cook the kids dinner every night and I am have drooling looking at all the good stuff they get to eat.. I want a big juicy steak something other then soft foods ugh!!! Though everyone is starting to notice my weight loss so that is a major plus I feel great about it and getting my self motivated instead of thinking about food all the time. So all in all is good.... lol... hope all is well with you and keep up the good work....

    Did you stay overnight?

The only reason why I had to stay at the hospital over night was because my Health Ins. requires it. The doctors say that most people are able to leave the same day.
  9. I am doing pretty good. I am stuck at 19 pounds loss its driving me nuts but its probably because I was able to change to soft foods, body isnt use to having something other then liquids. I am trying to stay positive and to stay strong. How have you been doing?

    It gets easier

It's getting easier, I had my surgery on Jan 7th and I got on the scale last night and I have lost a total of 12 pounds I couldnt believe it, it's the one thing that keeps me from going insane now that I dont have my comfort food anymore. This journey is going to be life changing I am so excited to have been givin a chance of a life time to finally lose all this weight. I miss food but I cant make it my life anymore, I am learning that you have to find other things to do to comfort your self instead of always heading to the cupboard or the fridge like I always use to do. I call this stage my detox stage because I no longer have my drug. I love seeing everyone's photos of how much weight they have lost it motivates me to be strong and to be able to get through this. Having this site is nice because it makes me feel that I am not alone, we all have each other.... Jamie

    First blog

I am new to this whole blog thing. I had my band surgery on Jan 7th I have to say it was very pain full, thank goodness for pain meds. I didnt think this would be as hard as it is. I never relized how addicted to food I was and how much I do miss eating. This liquid diet is the hardest thing I have ever done, watching my family eat is total torture. I even cried today because I am mentaly drained. I am so use to being able to eat when I was feeling down or stressed or even bored, I feel like it is all been taken away from me. I must be going through withdrawals, it is not fun at all. I try to stay positive and usually at the end of the day I relize that it is going to be worth the wait. I keep dreaming of being in a size 10 or a size 8. I can say I have lost so far 10 lbs yay wooohooo. I am so gald I joined this site as I need support through all of this. I dont think I will ever look at chicken and beef broth the same ever again. Does anyone have any tips on how to handle the mental part of just wanting a pieace of food of some sort instead of all these damn liquids??? Jamie
