IM WITH YOU GIRL.. i've only lost 7 lbs and i've been on preop since may 20.. I lost 6 lbs fast, then i've been teetering back and forth.. im scared S***less, that my doc will be a jerk and not perform the surgery. I dont know what else to do.:glare: -
i have aetna POSII and i did not lose any weight and gained l lb on final weigh in. I got approved in 1 week. Im on preop diet, been on it for two weeks, in the middle of my third and i've only lost 7 lbs. I read most people lost like 20 lbs in two weeks. NOT ME OR MY BODY!! And im on nothing but atkins shakes. good luck!! it'll be fine

I don't really know...I am Tricare Standard and used (and LOVE LOVE LOVE) Dr. Sonny Cavazos (he works out of northeast Baptist) For me, I went to the seminar 7/10 and had my (first) surgery 8/11. It was fast (I wanted it that way, wanted it done before school started) and wonderful. Preop tests included psych eval, nutritionist consult, upper gi test, ecg, blood work, abdominal ultrasound, chest x-ray (most of that was done in 2 different appointments). I especially loved that Northeast Baptist has a wonderful lady named Nadia who's sole job is to get all the paperwork in line for our insurance companies. She did it ALL. It was so easy!
So my experience was great all the way through!

im from san antonio and i am going to my first consult this friday with true results. My insurance is Aetna and does cover lap band surgery, but Im sure im gonna have to do all the waiting and junk like that. Could you give me idea of what to expect?

Hi, new here, my first appt for surgery will be Friday. Finally have insurance coverage. When I read this tonight, I started shaking inside and began to cry. I couldnt imagine that feeling of losing weight, of having hope. It was almost too much for me. Thanks
