I agree. Its like a test. You can feel every part of whatever it is you are eating and hope its ok....I go for fill #2 on monday. He dosent use anything to numb me and I have asked for it, but he just wont.. It hurts so much, but I guess its worth it...

Hi Llynn. I was banded the same day as you and yes. I too get hiccups when I get full. How is your weight loss going? I have only lost 18lbs and with 1 4cc fill, I still have no restriction...Im so discouraged.

Hi Cali. Im about 58 days post op and have only lost 18 lbs. Im so discouraged. I walk or ride bikes daily. I watch my diet and yet, I feel like I just can't get the weight to come off. I go for my second fill on Feb 23, 08 so I hope that helps because I feel no restriction....Lets home. Bonnie

Hay Becky. It does not make my shakey. I sometimes forget to eat on them. They also give you a natural feeling energy. I just think its sad that we go through this surgery and still have to take diet pills for hunger..Talk to you soon

Hay Jitterbug. Yep it was very painful. My port is off to the left side 2" below the last rib. When he pushed down trying to feel for it, I was telling him I was still pretty tender, and it didn't seem to matter. He says it won't be as bad next time...I hurt when I lay on my stomach and when I bend over sitting like to pick something up off the floor. I have to remember to stand up and bend down to get it. I do have 4cc's and no restriction. I am having alot of problems with the hunger too. I am currently going back to my regular diet dr for phendymetrozine to help curb hunger. It hurt so much to get a fill maybe i'll just do this and not complain....Thank You for your support. It means alot. Bonnie

I have 4cc's and I only feel restriction when I dring water, not with food, weird ha?...Your not alone in this. I wonder if I made the right choice with lab band and not bypass...

It was HELL. I was not numbed. I laid down on the table, he pushed down until he located the port and in went the 9in. needle and he missed. So he had to move it around until he found the right spot and I had 4cc's injected. I feel some restriction, but only with fluids, not foods. I felt like I took a bullet to the belly...SO painful. He said it will be easier next time...I hope so

I just had my first fill and he did'nt numb the area. I feel like I got shot. That is the worst feeling. I hope it gets better from here out.....OUCH! He put 4and a half cc's in for my first fill, he tried to do 5cc's but it was too tight..Wow I go back in a month and im not looking forward to this.

I wasen't filled at surgery either and im fighting everyday to eat the 4 oz 5 times a day. It's so hard. I feel like I went through the surgery for nothing...

I too feel this way. I have not had a fill yet nor was my band filled at surgery. I am starving always. My surgery was Dec 23, 08 and my first fill is Jan 26, 09. I hope it will help. I have only lost 11 lbs and I walk 2 miles 5 days a week UGH!

WOW. How exciting. I was banded on Dec 23, 2008. I could'nt believe the neck and shoulder pain. Mine took about 2 weeks to go away..Good luck to you and welcome aboard
