  1. Happy 44th Birthday kelsiejoy!

  2. Happy 43rd Birthday kelsiejoy!

  3. Buggie- I am just 2 weeks post op and have lost weight but from what I read here it might be your body going into starvation mode. Hard to believe if we are eating less and eating mostly Protein we might be gaining weight. I am starting to do some research on this as I am affraid it will happen to me. I can tell you everyone that has commented on it says it is common in the very 6 to 8 weeks after sirgery and once you start getting adjustments it will change things. Hope this bit of info helped. Maybe a more experienced bandster will comment. All the best

    Any regrets?

Not regreted it one bit. I even had some very small complications but well worth how I am feeling just 3 weeks out. Best of luck
  5. Oh my gosh my port bothers me too! I am 3 weeks out as well. I feel your pain but I try to remember this is the worse we will feel and it will get better from here. All the best everyone
  6. hello

That is right you told me you were starting school, I forgot..... Drugs I auppose. I have pain in my left insision too. I was just thinking this am how sore it is. They say today we can have some food. Honestly I am nervous. I have done fine on the liquid diet and am a little affraid. Its silly but I am like you and not hungry. I am going to try a few bites at lunch but do my portein shake for breakfast.

  7. Wow! I am so happy for you. Im not even sure how much i have lost yet, i was planning to wait for my to postop to be suprised. But i must say that my insision in the lift is the only one that really is bothering me. I dont have to worry aboutthe whole job thing for a while, thankfully the firm i worked for went under and payed me and the other employee off. Thats why i desided to go along with the surgery now and i will also be starting school in march.

Hi ya Peanut- did not realize we were bandits on the same day. Nice to be in good company. I feel good and have lost 20 pounds since my pre op diet on Jan 1. all the best while you heal
  11. HI

I am doing fine with liquids. I do notice I am not hungry at all but I get nausous if I do not keep up with my water. I have lost 20 pounds already! They were not able to remove the cathider but they said it is normal and I should not worry so I am not. I am just focusing on healing. I have had gas but not too bad. I find a heating pad helps move things along along with walking lots of walking.

My primary care doc took me off my blood pressure meds its normal and all the cholestrol meds. I saw him yesterday after the hospital said my blood pressure was too low even without my meds.

When are you going back to work? I understood we could go back when we felt better. Did you? Now they are telling me I have to wait until my post op on the 22nd.

Let me know, thinking of you and glad to make the connection.

  12. Im good! Finding it hard to take in any liquids im just not hungry at all, and a lot of gas...but besides that im fine.

    Tell Me the Bad Stuff

Hi I was banded January 8th and I have to agree with what the majority is saying. Anything that could happen is far better then what will happen if you do not loose weight. I had some very monor complications but that would not stop me from doing it again. This is more then just how you feel physically, mentally I think it is much harder. You have to be open to discover things about yourself and habbits. Willing to make the commitment once you do you will never look back All the best
