lol thats funny that you say you're counting down the days till you can chew again. My older sister also had the lap band done last month and she said that's the hardest part for her so far. She justs wants to taste normal food. I never had my teeth pulled and I've heard from many people getting the wisdom teeth are very painful. So I'm gonna take your word . Other than still being on the mushy foods what else is hard for you? I know I'm really going to have trouble not drinking while I eat. That is really bad habit for me. lol

Hey there! So I have a couple questions...when did you have the lap band done, how much total did you lose and when you started gaining it back did you have any complications such as slippage or erosion? BTW your pics look great! They give me hope!

Thank you!! I'm soo scared out of my mind lol. I know that the benefit will be great but its the whole surgery thing that is making me nervous. Have you had your first fill yet?

I'm excited and very very scared now lol I called up to my doc like what's the hold up and they were like well we'll schedule it now...then i was like oh.... ok... lol. Now that I know thats its really happening i'm like crap am i really ready for this? u know? I think i'm just more nervous of the actual surgery.

Thank you! So far TX isn't too bad. The weather is kinda annoying but the drivers are even worse. I grew up in germany most of my life so when it comes to driving I drive the Germany way meaning I honor the right of way and when it comes to merging we do a zipper like affect; the car on the left goes then the one on the right. Here I've seen two cars try to merge on one road at the same time and naturally it caused an accident and then because everyone wants to look instead of paying attention another accident happened right after. Other than that, I like it.

Anyway, I've been bugging my doctor's office everyday trying to find out the status of my surgery date. Basically some lady still has to put everything together. I don't know why its taking her so long . Well I gotta get back to work talk to you soon!

How far are you from me? I'm still kinda new around here. We just moved here from NC back late August. That would be nice to make some new friends and thank you for the friend request

Well my insurance didn't require none of that. All I had to do was attend the seminar, the nutrition evaluation and the psych. evaluation. I'm done with all of that. So just still waiting on my doctor. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet part. My older sister had her lap band surgery on December 8th and she said that she's not hungry but she just wants certain tastes in her mouth. The broth gets really old lol.

Nope I still don't know :-(. I wish they would hurry already. I think I may call them on my lunch if they don't call me first. They wait is killing me lol. I just want to hurry up and get the liquid part over lol.

Yea thats the part i'm afraid of lol. And I've been approved already just waiting on my doctor. I'm guessing since its the holidays they're trying to get caught up. I wish they would hurry though lol.

Well I'm tall so I carry it well lol. About 5 years ago somethings happened in my life that made me extremely depressed. (Mainly an ex who put me through a lot) I used to weigh 145 and I've gained over 100lbs in a year and a half span. I tried to lose it and I would lose 30lbs max but then gain it back. So frustrating. My older sister who also had the lap band told me about it and convinced me that it would be better for me to get it now while I'm still young than to wait like she did (we're 10 years apart). I want it because I need help lol. Also I had knee surgery back in 05 and being over weight is not helping my knee. I hope they will tell me today when my surgery is. I'm really ready. I've already been approved by my insurance and 2 weeks ago I had my psych and nutrition evaluation. So now I'm just waiting on them. I'm assuming with all the holidays that's what has put them behind. Well I gotta get ready for work talk to you soon!
