hey babe, i have aetna pos 100 also....and my surgery will be covered at 90/10....so my out of pocket max for my insurance is 2000 including the 100 deductible so really after i meet my deductible i will pay no more than 1900 which i signed up for a health care spending account with my wonderful job so that i wont have to come up with the money upfront....b/c i do know that lapband usually costs between 25k-35k for insurance patients..so 10% of that..will still be in the $2000+ range. my approval only took 1 day....i did the 3 month one and i didnt have to do a pysch per insurance or doc, and i accidently skipped one month's visit but made it up end of april so that unfortunately prolonged the process, but didnt deny the surgery..which is what i was more concerned about.... let me know if you have anymore questions..

yea do that tay....go to sams and pick up the 30pck it was actually for the price of the 24 pack..which was 25.00 so hurry up and get them.before they go....even though im sure they will be there!! now i dont know for sure if sams sells the strawberry....i think all i saw was choc and vanilla....

yea i went to sam's club and bought a 30pk of slimfast.....i dont meet with the surgeon until june 4, so hopefully i will start my preop immediately after that...as i hope to have surgery before june is over.
to put ur pic up, u need to go to edit profile and click on "change avatar"....there it will allow u to upload a photo, or use a generic picture, that this website offers.

mine is like linda's....mine said 12/31/2099-12/31/2099...so yes i would call them asap tomorrow morning and make sure that approval is still good as long as ur still covered on that particular insurance plan..

Hello ladies and gents, I don't have a surgery date yet, but i was thinking about doing a detox cleanse, so that i could be a lil less full of toxins and other nasty stuff before i do have the surgery..I kinda wanted to do it before I even start my 2 week pre op diet...So if anyone has any advice on this I would appreciate it..and if you did do a detox....what type was it and where did u get it? Thanks for yall's time! -
My stomach and arms are still my trouble areas. But I think I will always have large arms because I work them out so much.

BETHL, if you're doing the 90 day....u need to actually go to 4 doc visits.....and the consult includes as one...., and from what i heard the visits have to be 30 days apart no more than 35 days..., but i was approved with a 60 day gap in my visits, but with that it prolonged this process b/c i had to do my 4th visit end of april..and now im just waiting on a date...if i wouldnt of skipped my jan 30th visit..i would of been finished march 30 with doc visits..and i probably would be having my surgery this month!!! Here is an example of the visting guidelines my case manger at the surgeons office gave me for aetna requirments....by the way, I only did 2 nutritionals..my case mgr said that lately aetna has been approving with only 2 nutrional visits....and if your doc doesnt require a psych eval..then u dont really have to do it, unless u have a history of psychiatric disorders or problems, per aetna obesity requirements..and im proof that's true, b/c i didnt do a psych eval. 12/31/08- Start Weight loss program with AIGB-Start (Your Initial Consultation counts as your 1st visit) 01/31/09- 2nd Weight loss visit with AIGB-30 days 1st Schedule an appointment with the Nutritionist 02/31/09-3rd Weight loss visit with AIGB-60 days 2nd Schedule an appointment with the Nutritionist 03/31/09-Last visit with AIGB for the Weight loss program-90 days 3rd Schedule your last appointment with the Nutritionist -

no they didnt send no type of precertification...all they did after my first visit was just verify that my insurance cover's it and how much they would cover.... -

ok well while ur waiting for ur insurance cards, go to aetna.com and on the main page there will be a search bar...type obesity surgery in there and the requirements for aetna will come....it will show u the two programs they require to have surgery approved....u will do one of the 2.
