  1. With good restriction it does sometimes bring gurgling. How much can you consume at once?
  2. Nancy, I would call your doctor and get your pain under control. I too had nauseau and he gave me an anti nauseau medication that really helped. This surgery was easy for me so it shouldn't be that difficult for you. You just need to make sure to manage your symptoms . Good luck. Feel better!
  3. Hi Rainer, There was a time when I had gotten .3 ccs in a fill. Immediately I felt burning in my stomach. Prilosec and Zantac helped a bit but more importantly a slight unfill helped the most. It took me a couple months then I was able to get back up to that level again without problem. Yesterday I did have some burning while drinking vodka with light cranberry juice but I worked through it with Prilosec. Most likely you need a slight unfill. Good luck.
  4. I spent a ton of money on clothes while transitioning down. Probably $1500 or so. If you can't afford new I would try your local thrift shop or Salvation Army. How excting! Keep up the good work.
  5. The reason why they want you off of estrogen is because it can cause excessive bleeding. You can't even be on birth control pills.
  6. Trissie, to be honest with you the only thing that has saved me is good restriction and giving up beer. I can only eat 1-2 oz at a time now. I recommitted myself by joining Weight Watchers and buying a 10 week pass. If I can stay on Weight Watchers for 10 weeks and eat 1k a day (20 pointsl) I will lose at least 1-2 lbs a week and that will put me 15-20 lbs from goal. You really just need to recommit yourself. Make sure you have good restriction. Buy a motivational outfit. Take some before pictures, walk and drink lots of water. You can do it. The band will help you.
  7. Has anyone ever used the Shapely Secrets 7 minute workouts. I've been doing it for 2 days and I am sore so I think it is working. Let me know how you did. I'm going to do it for 3 months to see if it will help me lose some inches.
  8. Call your doctor. Most likely you are swollen and they will put you on liquids for a few days then soft foods. good luck.
  9. Cindy, I completely understand what you are going through. I am 21 months in and 35 lbs from goal. 35 lbs mind you that have been there for at least 6 months! The only advice I can give you is make sure you have good restriction, walk if you can, make sure you are meeting all the dietary requirments (I joined Weight Watchers yesterday and committed to 12 weeks prepay) and drink plenty of water. One other thing I did was buy a size 16 jean which is down one size from where I am. That is my next goal. Good luck.
  10. Sometimes I get down on how much more I need to lose and not the accomplishments so far. When I'm down I get a new outfit, massage, new haircut, etc. That tends to pick me up. Also, do you or have you had depression in the past? Sometimes that can be the underlying issue.
  11. I have definitely PBd water before. The secret is to sip it and not gulp.
  12. My BMI is 33 and I'm just starting to look into it. My goal is to get to 28-30 BMI within the next 6 months.
  13. You are in my thoughts. Best wishes! You will look great.
  14. How close to goal were you when you got your TT?
  15. A friend of mine lost 4.5 lbs in one week just by giving up drinking with her meals. That is my ultimate goal. I'm just so use to doing it now it will be tough. Good luck!
  16. Recently I went to a seminar with a friend who is getting banded through Kaiser. The reason for Advil being so bad is it can cause ulcers in the lower stomach pouch. That being said, he did say if you take it here and there it will not kill you. I would think the first and second day of your period when the cramps are really bad it wouldn't hurt. I would definitely not take that much though. Good luck.
  17. 2 ways I can eat around the band is a. taking too long to eat. Yesterday I had chinese chicken salad and in order to eat more I stayed at the table over an hour. That is bad. You are suppose to quit in 30 min. b. drinking when I eat. In order to be able to eat more, I sometimes will drink with my meal to flush it down. Both of these habits are bad and have stalled my weight loss.
  18. Lapband surgery was easy for me. The only soreness I had was at the port site. My surgery was Tuesday and I was back to work on Monday. I have a desk job however. I did have some nauseau and he gave me a prescription for that. Other than that, following the post op diet is the most important. You have to have a resource to be able to stay on liquids, then mushies, etc. The surgery was easier then getting my tubes tied or having my gallbladder removed.
  19. I drink GNCs brand. It has 30 grams of protein with 1 cup of skim milk. They have soy based and whey based.
  20. Wow, this makes me so motivated! I have 35 lbs from goal and I'm close to looking at your before pictures. I really believe 20 lbs from now I will be okay. I meet witht the plastic surgeon on 2 weeks and I'm so excited!
  21. I have lost 105 lbs and I need at tummy tuck. My arms should be done too but I don't want the scars. I have worked out with a trainer so it definitley is not laziness. Good luck.
  22. That is too funny. I just reached down and touched mine for the first time ever. I never really thought about that before. Thanks for the share!
  23. Yes. It gets even worse when you eat more and then bam you are headed to the bathroom. You are lucky you had such a great warning!
