  1. My only set back is Starbucks. It is difficult for me to get fast food down. Congrats on a great NSV.
  2. Jill, alcohol isn't a problem. Enjoy!
  3. That is the beauty of the band. If you are losing too much and want to maintain all you need is a slight unfill. The will accommodate more caloric intake as well as more hunger.
  4. Like the hair short, way to go!
  5. Between the blood work, EKG, Nutrionist and Psych eval it took me 6-8 weeks. I went through my insurance so that took an extra week or so as well.
  6. I am 30 lbs from goal and I am already ready for PS. She is going to do a tummy tuck first followed by thigh lift and my arms. If you are close to goal I would say now is the time!
  7. If I were you I would go back for another fill.
  8. Heather, that is fabulous. Congrats!
  9. Hi Seppi, my first surgery is a extended tummy tuck. Then I am having a thigh lift and my arms done.
  10. I think you look perfect. I wouldn't lose any more weight. 174 is perfect for your height.
  11. Mine was medication that I had problems with. If you can't sleep you may want to go to the doctor before it gets more serious.
  12. Hi Grace, I would suggest a slight unfill so you can eat maybe a few more calories a day to maintain. Usuall you gain a couple lbs then stabilize. I would just watch the scale closely. Good job getting to goal.
  13. First of all, calmn down. You can eat over 1 cup of food and still be okay. Just stay with the program and everything will be okay.
  14. I talked to her today and she said 8 lbs will not make a difference for my tummy tuck. That being said I am still going to try and lose it prior to surgery. I am looking at late April for my tummy tuck.
  15. Karey, you look great! My stomach is about like yours. I am so motivated now! I talked to my plastic surgeon today and she said that I could have my tummy tuck right now since I only have 8 more lbs to lose to get to 20 lbs from goal. I am thinking of surgery in late April.
  16. Rain, great NSV. Keep up the good work.
  17. Carla, way to go! Keep up the good work.
  18. I was banded June 06 and have lost 65% of my excess weight. It does take more time to lose the weight with lapband.
  19. My WW leader is really really nice. She mentioned to me how good I looked. I was down about 65-70 lbs so I just told her I had the surgery. She was quite nice about it. It will be interesting when I get to Lifetime. I am not sure if I'm going to tell the whole story or not. I use to weigh 320 lbs and when I get to goal I'll be at 185. Julie
  20. Steph, are you at your goal weight? If not how close are you? 13 lbs?
  21. Did you know you can't really eat sugar with RYN? You will most likely experience the dumping syndrome. With the band you can eat everything just less of it. I would never have RYN. I really hope you get the support you need to make the right decision. Good luck.
  22. I am 28 lbs from goal, 8 lbs from plastic surgery. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 16. 16 was my original goal but now I'm thinking 14!
  23. I am 13 lbs from onederland! I can't wait!
  24. I know how you feel. I haven't lost 160 lbs but I have lost 106 lbs. I don't like my body at all. I hate my thighs the most. The stomach hangs down. I can't wait until my plastic surgery. Don't think of yourself as fat anymore. You are well porportioned now. You look great. Love yourself. You can do it!
  25. Hi Dori, the only words of wisdom I can offer you is you have to be very patient with the lapband. Sometimes it takes several months to reach optimal fill level for restriction. You also need to make sure you slow down your eating and the bite size. When you are really tight you do PB often too so you have to get use to that. I am probably a bit too tight right now. My doctor says that if you PB more than once every 2 weeks then you are considered tight. Congtats on getting banded soon. Julie
