  1. It probably passed through. You should be fine.
  2. I've actually had food dreams post op. Its funny. I miss being able to eat junk that is for sure. It is amazing how much I have changed in 6 months. Good luck.
  3. Rachel, it is a big life change. Your portions really change. Sounds like you are not taking this lightly so that is good. The band can be with you for life. It is the best decision I ever made. I just wish I would have done it years ago. Best of luck.
  4. I went through the whole process in about 8-10 weeks. I too had to go to a nutritionist, phsych eval and to my doctor prior. It went really fast though. Best of luck to you.
  5. Hi Tracy, congratulations on your impending surgery. It is really exciting. I had to sell my horse last year when I relocated to a bigger city. Boy did I feel sorry for that horse when I rode him at 300 lbs. Poor thing. Anyway, hope you have a great surgery. Good luck.
  6. Prosebud, I am a slow loser. I have lost about 33 lbs since my surgery in June. Don't be discouraged. It is difficult to only lose 1 lb a week. I am considered normal by my surgeon though. Best of luck to you on your continued weight loss.
  7. I am really picky at what I eat. My main reason is because I will PB if I'm not careful so I select things that I know will go down. I can't do eggs or lunch meat. Good luck.
  8. I was just sick of being fat. I go so fed up about yo yo dieting. I had tried Weight Watchers again as well. The band is a great tool. Never before have I been able to lose so much weight with ease. I feel really confident that this year will bring a ton more lbs gone. Good luck to you on your decision. Its well worth it.
  9. I am probably 1k to 1200 calories a day. I don't count but thinking about it that is probably where I am. Good luck.
  10. Hi Kat, welcome to the lapband forum. Congrats on your surgery. Best of luck.
  11. Hi there, congrats on your decision and best of luck to you during the prequalification stage.
  12. Hi Prosebud, I know there are folks out there that have been banded for a while and haven't lost that much. I'm glad you are getting another fill and have recommitted yourself to the program. Best of luck to you.
  13. Hi Cathy, welcome to the lapband forum. YOu can get a lot of information on this site. Hopefully we can help you. Good luck.
  14. Hi NYC, sounds like you are doing well. You are probably swollen that is why it hurts when you swallow. I would just follow the liquid mushy stage for a few days to see how you do. You may be too tight. I only have 3 cc in a 10cc band. 6cc sounds like a lot. Good luck.
  15. Sherilynn, it is natural to be nervous. Just keep reminding yourself how exciting this is. The anastetic isn't that bad. The worse part was the sore throat from the breathing tube. Once he gave me the IV I was out like a light. The surgery doesn't take that long. You will be fine.
  16. That is fantastic! Way to go.
  17. Taz, you are probably still swollen. I would move onto cream soups. That seem to do the trick for me. Maybe the pureed chicken was too heavy. Good luck.
  18. I would stock up on all the foods you will need. I had plenty of jello, popsicles, yogurt, mash potatoes, creamy soups, etc. I also made sure I had all the drug orders filled and GasX strips. Good luck.
  19. Welcome to the lapband forum. Congrats on your surgery.
  20. Hi Tara, best of luck to you with your new baby and the lapband.
  21. I would say within a week. Just be careful.
  22. I've heard good thing about spivak before. Good luck.
  23. Huberslave, I would call and bug them until you get the answer you are looking for. Sometimes they just need the nudge. Good luck.
  24. Hi Pinkylee, my ticker is actually a liar! I lost 40 lbs preop. I'm down 34 lbs from June. I am not looking at a size right now although I did start in tight 24s and now I'm in 20s. I am really looking for the next 7 lbs which would put me at 41 lbs preop (80 total) and 1/2 way to my goal of 82 preop. I really want to get to 240 lbs. My goal is 200 lbs total. 82 lapband, 120 total. This is going to get exciting!
  25. What happens to your port when you get a TT? Can they see the tubing in there when they cut you?
