  1. Happy 51st Birthday punkin61!

  2. I am 7 months post-op and during this last 2 weeks I have increased my time and intensity at the gym. I started a protein shake (Lean Dessert-Chocolate fudge pudding) and it is really good because I know I was not getting enough protein. My problems is over the last 2 weeks I have GAINED 4 lbs:cursing:. Could this be from the shake? or too much exercising? I only walk 2 miles on the treadmill and sometime 5 minutes on the eliptical. No weights. My restriction is good and I am not eating more than I should. Anyone else seen this happen? I have another appointment in 2 weeks with my doctor. Any suggestions? Thanks
  3. I was not a milk drinker before, like you ice cream, milkshakes or chocolate milk. I don't remember what the original question or comment was, but I now drink carnation instant breakfast every morning for the protein because I don't eat eggs (yuck) I just taste like chocolate milk.

  4. hi Pumnkin just wanted to ask you i dont drink milk at all except by the way of ice cream and milkshakes that why im scared

  5. thanks for the add and the nice message i sure will do but i think this is rite for me i have a daughter and i want to see her grow and im tired of being bigg im to young

  6. Hello Tay, Welcome to the world of change! I have been banded for 5 months and this was the best decision I have every made. Was suffering from leg, knee and back pain and only wanted to go to work and then come straight home. My weight was keeping me from going and doing just normal everyday things. Well, I am down 42 lbs., Knee and back pain is minimal and feel better all around:+} Hang in there and think all things over before you make your decision. Later!!

  7. Hi, I had LB Dec. 09 and have no regrets. Like you, had high BP, cholesterol, diabetic, back and knee pain and everything in between. I have lost 42 lbs so far. I feel sooo much better over all. The most benefit is no knees no longer hurt when waking r walking. My dr. told me every lb. lost is 4 lbs less on the knees. It feels good to be able to wear clothes that are not tight and be able to go buy small sizes. I still have a long way to go, but, no regrets. The best thing i have done for ME! Those first 6 weeks are rough and you will say why? But look at the long run and you will understand why you made this decision to have the surgery.
  8. things are fine on my end just waiting on my first fill.

  9. Hi Denise, Yes I am doing good. Still having some pain in my leg, especially in the late afternoon, but better. Just had my third fill and now definantly feeling some restriction. How's things going for you?

  10. Haven't heard from you in a while hope all is well.

  11. Welcome to lapband talk! Good luck and congrats on your new journey!

    Shingles

Jaffa Steve, if you don't give a damn then don't reply! I'm just asked a question!

    Shingles

Jachut, you don't catch the virus like yo do the chicken pox. The chicken pox virus lies dormant in your body since having the chicken pox as a child. I was 7 yrs. old when I had them. The virus may never become active or it will be brought on by stress. Thanks!

    Shingles

Once again, you cannot "catch" shingles by being around someone who has them! Maybe you need to google and read more about it!
  15. Hi denise25, My leg pain (sciatica) first started in 2005 when diagnosed with a herniated disk. Had minor surgery and no problems until last month, but this is affecting the opposite leg. Feeling better, but some days are worse than others. Hope you are doing ok.
