  1. I had lap band with a hiatal hernia repair on 12-8-2008. I did not experience any pain after the procedure except for the gas pain in my left shoulder. I, too, have not experienced reflux since the surgery. I wish you good luck in your journey.
  2. I was banded 12-08-2008 as well. I'm a lot older than you but maybe you are trying to do too much. I don't believe I could have returned to work so soon. I am going to be off a week. I have had a lot of problems with gas pains in my left shoulder which is awful and have staples in the port sites. I think they will feel better when the staples are removed. I hope you can rest this weekend and let your body adjust to all these major changes. Good luck on your journey!:wink2:
  3. I was also banded on 12-08-08. I have been surprised how sore I have been. They did advise me to shower and remove the bandaids on day one. I have staples. My biggest problem has been the gas moving around and up into my left shoulder. I'm ready to get back to feeling normal. Today is my first day of full liquids. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
  4. Hi Stephanie, I had surgery on Dec 8th so I am 2 days post-op. Since you are a week out, are you feeling less sore and more "normal"? So far I am not having trouble with the liquids. I wish you good luck in your journey. cytiger
  5. I was banded Dec 8th as well - also had a hiatal hernia repair at the same time. I seem to be struggling with a lot of nausea. Hopefully will feel better soon. What a great idea to do this as a team effort.
