  1. Hi! I had my surgery on August 7, 2008. I am doing extremely well. Right after surgery, I would walk around the house. First for 10 minutes, the next day I would up that to 15 minutes and so on until I was at 30 minutes. After 3 days the pain in my chest and upper arms and neck was gone! I was told the more you get up and move around, the faster the gas pains go away. It worked! I am now 4 months out and have lost 60 pounds! Hope this helps.
