  1. I'm in the same position I'm now on my 3rd unfil, I get some taken out and the weight starts to go on, but if I increase my fill to a level where I start to loose weight I start the night time coughing, I'm so tired from not being able to sleep but I'm due for an unfil in two days, but dread the fact the band wont be filled enough to influence my weight. I need to loose 26lb but its just not happening. Sorry to moan but its so frustrating. mmm
  2. I did have an overfill and went to get some taken out today, and while I was there I asked him about the earliest time after birth that he recommended to have a re-fill, he asked about breast feeding, and if you intend to do so he suggested not to be filled until after 4weeks of the birth. Hope this info helps
  3. Do you have the fills through Spire with Mr Wong, not under xray, or with spire under xray or do you use WLS. My daughter has been advised to have a unfill (not under xray) on week 30ish did you do the same, if so how much was taken out. I usually have my fills with Chris Deprez from Belgium in Newport £80, but last month I could'nt make the appointment so went to Mr Wong, but I think I've had an overfill and one week on still cannot eat anything.
  4. Hi, my daughter is pregnant, and due in Oct, she will be having her fill taken out in about 2 weeks at Spire Cardiff, I'll try to remember to ask the surgeon when would be the earliest for her to get a refill if I find out I'll let you know. Where will you be having your fills done?
  5. If your thinking of Belgium or on a tight budget look at the thread "has anyone heard of Dr Chris De Bruyne", after care is in UK or belgium or you could look at an aftercare package only such as the wlsgroup, there are lots of options.
  6. Hi claireycurtis, its great to have another uk preggie bandster on here, where did you get banded.
  7. My daughter went to see her banding surgeon last week and he has offered to keep on seeing her on free consultations, at spire/bupa Cardiff in South Wales he was happy to let her keep her fill as it is until her consultancy next month and then depending on her weight will decide on if she needs a full or partial unfill, but so far her appetite is good but not excessive, so hopefully, she might only need a partial unfill, she is now 8 weeks pregnant, feeling very tired and cannot drink plain water, tea, juice, and milk is fine though, she seems to be eating a lot of cheese. Hope you are all feeling happy and healthy.
  8. I have two other grandchildren from my son, but this will be the first from my daughter, and our first banded baby. Woop Woop. I was banded 1 week ago and she told me the morning I was going for the op its been a very exiting week.
  9. Hi guys, I'm a granny to be my daughter just done a home test and its positive, she was banded 2007, and has lost 55lbs, I'll be following you all on your journey.
  10. Yes all good so far I've tried porridge oats, potatoes mashed, cauiflower cheese, corned beef pie, yogurts, stewed rubarb, toasted fruit loaf very small nibbles and very slowly, fish pie, I dont have any hunger pangs, and I started eating quite small amounts, tea plate/saucer sized, but all is going down ok. I am 1 week post op and have lost 7lb, my stiches come out on monday. woop woop. my starting bmi is 35, and my first fill is on the 27th March, I had my surgery in Belgium there's a lot less fuss about the proceedure there compared to other countries, and the cost is good, a lot less than in the UK.
  11. I was driving within 4 days, and am more or less back to normal now 1 week after op.
  12. You'll be fine mainly because you have a low bmi already, I am 6 days post op and my surgeon knows I'm eating, just as long as you dont get anything stuck, that what could do the damage, if you stick to looser foods it might stop you craving things which are too solid. dont beat yourself up. Well done you have been so good so far.
  13. Hi angie I also had my band fitted on the 13th in Belgium, I flew back to the UK yesterday, but dont have back pain, the port is still uncomfortable, are you still taking pain relief medication
  14. Fab news I'm glad to hear all has gone well for you. I'm flying to Belgium tomorrow for my op on Fri. Yippee
  15. me too I'm using Dr Chris, cost for package 4075 euro plus £140 return flight for 2 people from Heathrow to Brussels, I being banded on 13th Feb, waiting time from enquiery approx 6 weeks. BMI 35, and he said yes its ok
