  1. Hello all! I'm new to this site and am seriously considering lap band surgery. According to the charts I'm about 100 lbs. overweight. Ive had an initial consult with insurance administrator and attended a support group meeting last night that was suggested. One of the folks there mentioned this website as being helpful! The potential surgeons are with The Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg, PA (Dr. DiMarco & Associates). Appreciate any information anyone is willing to share! By the way - I've had my large intestine (colon) removed due to ulcerative colitis but am told I would still be a candidate. I believe they are suggesting lap band versus bypass surgery. So, again, hello and thanks for any input you're willing to share!!
