Happy New Yr everyone. Just checking in as I haven't been on here in FOREVER. My health insurance changed and had to switch docs. My new doctor is very supportive but my brain and my mouth and my stomach are still not connecting. I've gained all my weight back and holidays added a couple of more. I'm now at about 8.5cc and I still never feel full and when I do it's very rare. I'm scared to go tigher cuz I have experienced the joys of getting stuck recently and it's not fun! I'm currently in nursing school, working weekends and have my kids. Life is beyond crazy but one day at a time and i'm going to try to get back into making small goals for myself. Hope everyone is doing well sandy

Hi everyone. Haven't been on here in a LOOOONG time! Feeling like a huge failure myself. I'm almost back to the weight I was on surgery day! As Paige said in a previous post, I too am now starting to come to terms with the reasons I am overweight and my issues with food are my main problem. I have this thing in me and I can still eat large amounts of food. My health insurance changed in feb and I can no longer see Dr. Robinson, not that I got much help from them anyway. So I'm looking forward to meeting my new doctor next month and hopefully starting fresh! Paige how did it feel when your band slipped? Was it painful, could you tell right away? Good luck with your surgery. Hope everyone is doing well besides the struggles of the band. Sandy

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi. I'm not doing so well on this journey. Life has been so chaotic. I'm in the process of buying a house among all the normal chaos of being a working mom of 2 kids. My dad and my brother have been sick and they are ok now but it was very stressful! I know it's not a good excuse but I eat anything and everything I want. The scale flucuates between 5 pounds every week but at least i know when I've been really bad, to cut it out for a few days and i come back down. I know this is just a tool, but was really hoping it would be easier. I'm at 5 cc's and am terrified to go further even though I need to. I canceled my last fill almost 2 months ago and still haven't called to reschedule, basically out of fear. I can eat anything and everything and still feel like i didn't have surgery most days. It's just wrong.. ha ha Not looking for sympathy, cuz i know I'm the only one that can do this for me, more of a venting note. I really should make it to the next meeting. I'm hoping to find my motivation again soon. Hope you are enjoying this weather.

Congrats Heidi on your new motivation. I too have found my motivation and I hope it really stays this time. I've finally joined a gym. I've been sick and my goal is 3 times this week. My kids are in school together twice a week and I plan on putting aside everything else I get done and make time for me. I'm slowly losing the 7 lbs that have been up and down since thanksgiving and my goal for late spring is to be in w"one"derland. I'm 23 lbs away. So I'm giving myself plenty of time and I'm back to counting my weight watcher points and focusing mostly on protein. We shall see If I can keep it up. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep up the good work everyone. Spring is coming and I don't want to dread it for the first time in like 10 yrs.

Hey everyone, just checking in. Going to see Dr. Robinson tomorrow for my second fill. My appt. is at 2, I think. I think I'm gonna see if they can take me later. Would love to stay for the meeting. I'm doing HORRIBLE! Eating everything and anything. Back to my old ways. Hoping this fill will help before the pounds start creeping back. Congrats Heidi on the gym. I found a gym I love and love their class schedule and I think I convinced my hubby on joining. I'm a class kind of girl and he just thinks everyone should just pay $10 a month for a membership. I know myself, i will get bored with Planet Fitness in like a month. I like to change things up, so here is hoping to have a gym membership by the end of the week. They also have daycare so if I have to, I'll drag my kiddos along. Heidi I wish we lived closer, we have so much in common Would love to be your gym buddy. Keep up the good work! I've noticed that although I'm not starving myself, I'm not getting all my protein in and my hair has started to shed and it's not pretty. Thank god I have tons to spare, will mention it to the doc tomorrow. Hope to see ya tomorrow at the meeting. night night

Hey everyone, Happy Holidays. Sorry to see everyone is struggling. UGH i am too. This time of yr is really hard. I made a goal to lose 40 lbs for Thanksgiving and I came really close. I was at like 38. Someone at work told me to load up on Activia and be done with it.. LOL Well I saw my family for the first time since surgery and EVERYONE noticed. I've dropped down two sizes and even that size is loose! But that's about it, it's all gone downhill since there.. The holidays are stressing me out, ok maybe it's just my in-laws but I find myself eating. Eating a lot and all the wrong things. I'm going food shopping and determined to lose the 7lbs I've gained by new yr. Paige you cracked me up with your scale story. I thought I was the only one that thought a warped floor MIGHT be the cause for my weight gain! LMAO Heidi, I too am making a ton of excuses. Easy to do when you are exhausted with kids and the last thing you want to do is exercise. I hope to join a gym in Jan. I'm at 4 cc's and can eat ANYTHING, had one moment this morning, where my toast just didn't want to move, no pain or anything but it did and all is fine I should call and schedule another fill soon.

Hi K8, glad it went better for you this time. Dr. R did my fill on Monday and it went great, funny how everyone is different. Then again, I think I could even do my own fill.. LOL I can totally feel my whole port and even see it sometimes, so I'm hoping it will never be a problem for me. I'm at 4 cc's now, so we'll see )

Thanks for the push. I know I NEEDED to go but like you said and I totally knew it, I was making excuses. I read my post again the next day and realized how stupid I sounded.LOL So THANK YOU!! It went smoothly, it pinched but it was so fast I didn't mind it. No I don't feel any different, except now I get this little pain in my stomach area that wasn't there before. I'm on liquids for one more day and I'll do soft stuff tomorrow or maybe even tonight. So we shall see.

Thanks Paige, Ok so I listened to you and I went for my fill, It really wasn't as bad, still tender and you really can feel my port so I think it would be hard to not get it the first try. He put in 4 cc's, so I'm on liquids for 2 days and slowly back into food. I go back again in 4 weeks for another, but thanks for saying it, I needed to hear it and yes it was another excuse. I've gained about 4 lbs over the past week, but back on it today and i'm sure the shakes over the next 2 days will help get me back. He said I'm doing very well and is pleased with my progress so far. I think I'm gonna just do the faulkner from now on, all my appointements there have been much less chaotic! Hope everyone is well!

Hi Everyone, I'm like 6 weeks post-op now and scheduled for my first fill tomorrow (monday) I'm terrified and am thinking of canceling. I am having such anxiety over getting stuck. I can eat anything and this weekend I've been enjoying left over halloween candy and birthday cake. I've lost 32 lbs and I know I'll gain from this weekend and I feel ok about it, cuz I know I haven't been good this weekend. Part of the reason is I'm very hungry the past few days. I have a week every month (girl thing) where I am just ravenous and I think this is the week. I'm still having pain in my port area and sometimes the pain is so piercing, it takes my breath away. I sometimes feel when I'm at work or just on my feet alot, it bulges out and it's just so tender. Very weird, but also part of the reason I don't want to get it poked tomorrow. The other part and I'll be honest is that I am going out to eat at a restaurant friday night, for a belated b-day dinner with family, which is very rare with working evenings and having 2 kids. I NEVER go out to eat I just want to go and enjoy it and not stress. Know what I mean? I would like to say I will be at the meeting this month, but we'll see. I work in Boston and hate driving in when I don't have to, but I know I should go! Jay welcome back, good to hear from you. Hang in there, you can do this. You didn't have surgery for nothing right? For the record, I don't feel like you are bringing me down, since I'm a newbie. It's one day and one meal at a time. :scared2:

Ha ha you got me. I honestly haven't gone yet and their $1 join up fee promotion ended. I need to start. I honestly have been eating too much and the past few days I have been eating badly, I'm blaming it on my period! Gonna try to squeeze it in this week as I've started back at work. Gotta stop making excuses right?!
