Thanks Argon, I hope I can book my fill! I found out that I have the 11cc Vanguard band and that they will put 4cc in on the first fill. Does this sound right?

    Our Lives

Hi, I am from Alberta, I am 42, married for 21 years and we have 2 daughters:girl: :girl: I work as a secretary at our local hospital. I am just 3 weeks post-op and feeling great. I don't have much of a restriction as I can eat pretty much anything as long as I chew it to mush. I found out that I have an 11 cc Vanguard band and my first fill will be 4cc can't wait. :canada:

    Who were you banded by?

Yes, that is his name. Very nice Dr. and yes I was one of the first 12 to be banded out of the 25 that are being done. I am not sure if they have selected all 25 though. The dietician I saw was Jan. Good luck to your friend. I have inlaws in Sask. Where are you from?

Hey Stitchy, I have not had any pain in that area, only by my biggest incision. I guess it take a good 4-6 weeks to fully recover. Just keep sippin and chew chew chew:D :grouphug:

    Who were you banded by?

Do you remember her name? No,Dr Mitchell did not do my surgery, It was one of the others and I don't know how to spell his name. Its French! It is a good feeling to be part of the first group to have this procedure done in Alberta. I go for my first follow up this Friday. I hope to get a date for my first fill. WHO did you see for your fill?

    Who were you banded by?

Hi Mandi My surgery was May 12th. Dr Cobourn was already back in Ont by then. My BMI was 41 and I am 5'8". I would tell your friend to call Dr Mitchell for a consult.

    Who were you banded by?

Hello fellow Canadians! I had my surgery in Calgary by one of the Dr''s trained by Dr Cobourn. There are 4 of them including Dr Mitchell who I saw initially saw to have my surgery. 2 weeks out and I am feeling great. Cloe, I hope you are recuperating and feeling well. Please let us know.

    Port Pain?

Hi all, I am just over 2 weeks post banded and I am feeling just great. I do have a question about port pain. For the last 2 days it seems that I can't bend to far forward without having some pain in the middle tummy area above my belly button. Also when I am sitting at my desk or driving I find I have to sit up strait or there is some pain. Its not constant but comes and goes. Does this sound familiar to anyone?I am hoping it is just the port healing on the inside. I have my first post-op appt on June 2. TIA for any answers/help:) :grouphug: Angie
