  2. Thanks Argon, I hope I can book my fill! I found out that I have the 11cc Vanguard band and that they will put 4cc in on the first fill. Does this sound right?
  3. Hi, I am from Alberta, I am 42, married for 21 years and we have 2 daughters:girl: :girl: I work as a secretary at our local hospital. I am just 3 weeks post-op and feeling great. I don't have much of a restriction as I can eat pretty much anything as long as I chew it to mush. It is a good feeling to be part of the first group to have this procedure done in Alberta. I go for my first follow up this Friday. I hope to get a date for my first fill. WHO did you see for your fill?
  9. Hi Mandi My surgery was May 12th. Dr Cobourn was already back in Ont by then. My BMI was 41 and I am 5'8". I would tell your friend to call Dr Mitchell for a consult.
  10. Hello fellow Canadians! I had my surgery in Calgary by one of the Dr''s trained by Dr Cobourn. There are 4 of them including Dr Mitchell who I saw initially saw to have my surgery. 2 weeks out and I am feeling great. Cloe, I hope you are recuperating and feeling well. Please let us know.
  11. Thanks Susan, It is a weird feeling. Glad to know it Will eventually go away:clap2:
  12. Hi all, I am just over 2 weeks post banded and I am feeling just great. I do have a question about port pain. For the last 2 days it seems that I can't bend to far forward without having some pain in the middle tummy area above my belly button. Also when I am sitting at my desk or driving I find I have to sit up strait or there is some pain. Its not constant but comes and goes. Does this sound familiar to anyone?I am hoping it is just the port healing on the inside. I have my first post-op appt on June 2. TIA for any answers/help:) :grouphug: Angie
  13. I am from Western Canada - Alberta, just 3 hours east of Calgary:)

  15. Hi all, I cannot believe it has been a week since my surgery. I am feeling great and ready for mushies. I still have bruising from the incisions but other than that, no problems. I plan to start by walking program this week and I know that will only help my weight loss. Cheers everyone!
