  1. I'm trying to get over the fear it's just difficult because I don't want it to slip again. My first surgery was covered 100% by insurance but the second one cost me some out of pocket. If it slips again I can't afford to keep paying for this surgery.
  2. Hi! I started off at 310 and got down to 165! Sounds great but it was hell. I continuously told my doctor that I thought something was wrong. He just kept telling me that I must not be eating appropriately. I ended up losing all that weight over 10 months. I kept telling him that I couldn't even take a sip of water without throwing up. In August I was so sick that I was in severe pain and ended up in the hospital. Sure enough my band had slipped. I spent 3 days in the hospital and put on 24lbs just on I.V. fluids. I have been so scared to keep getting fills due to having a little bit of throwing up that I have gotten back up to 225. I plan on going in for a fill this Thursday but am scared to death. I just can't keep gaining the weight back.

  6. Hello November's I've been hesitant in writing. My surgery was two months ago and my weight has gone up 5lbs. I was going to get my first fill last week and ended up with an infection. The infection was in my incision where the port is so he couldn't give me my fill. He said my weight loss will start after my new fill date which will be in 3 more weeks. I'm very disappointed but what can I do.:cursing: I guess if I've been fat for 30 some years I can wait another 3 weeks. Best of luck to you all.
  7. Hello can you add me to the spreadsheet. My highest weight was 308. I started the pre-op diet at 296. After the diet I was 281. After surgery I'm 273. Surgery date was November 15, 2008. Thank you!

    Frist fill today, OUCH!!!

I feel the same way. I was banded on november 15th. I feel hungry again. I've only lost ten pounds since the surgery. The pain in the port sight will go away. I didn't think it ever would and than one day I noticed I didn't have it anymore
  10. My doctor told me to try sugar free carnation instant breakfast drinks with one cup skim milk and two and a half tablespoons of nonfat dry milk. He also suggested sugar free pudding made with the skim milk and add a half a cup of the nonfat dry milk for a protein rich pudding
  11. I still have pain in the port site occasionally is that normal? My next one is about the ticker. I made a ticker but I don't know where i'm supposed to paste it to
  12. Amy my name is Becky and I was just banded on the 15th of November. I found out how to make the ticker but I don't know where i'm supposed to paste it to. If anyone tells you can you let me know. Thanks

  13. I just had the surgery on the 15th and have a few questions can you help
  14. I am a 34 year old single mom from Geneva and decided to do this journey with my friend, she started the process before me and is still awaiting her approval. We thought we would be going through stages together. I also went through the day one clinic. I was supposed to have it on Nov. 13th in Oswego but Insurance decided to throw a curve ball at me the night before the surgery and tell me I couldn't have it in Oswego. I ended up getting it done on the 15th in Chicago. I really don't know what to expect at all. I don't understand the messages my stomach is giving me. I will say losing 10lbs in the first week was wonderful. How long does the discomfort of the port area to go away I'm still having pains in the site. That's the only thing stopping me from working out right now. Thanks
