    Dec 19 band date

Hey Dec. 19th Bandsters, Hope everyone if well. My surgery went well. No problems. Still pulls a bit at times in port site. Lost 20 lbs since the 19th. No fill yet. I have to wait until my Jan. 27 appt. The doc did put 3cc's in at time of surgery. I have started my hyalgan shots in the knee for 5 weeks and hope to be able to start walking soon. I fell on my knee that I had surgery on in Oct. so that was another set back for me walking. Please pray the shots work. I have got to get to exercising. Hope everyone has a great week. :sneaky:

    Dec 19 band date

Hey Sue Sorry I haven't posted since surgery on the 19th. Everything went great. I had no gas pains anywhere, just really sore. I think my second day was my worst as far as pain. The place where the port is probably the one that hurts still. It feels like it is pulling. I can stand up straight and don't have to walk stooped over which is a blessing. I was truly blessed with my surgery. No driving for 2 weeks which I really don't understand. liquid diet is ok because I was already on it pre op for two weeks. Everything is good. I go back Dec. 30 to get the stitches out. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I hope to figure out how to do a ticker on here. LOL:thumbup:
  6. Southe1010,

I do not have too much incision pain....only when I cough, sneeze, or get out of bed, although getting out of bed was much better today. My left shoulder still hurts like heck at times, other times no pain. Not sure what is going on there.

Hope you are doing better every day!

  7. HI there! you are on liquid diet day, I had dreaded it, but honestly it wasn't that bad. I stayed home from work, kept busy and did OK.

Now on to the surgery. It was just fine. I wish I could make you not nervous, but I was almost paniced! It all went so well! I had a bit of shoulder and neck pain yesterday. I did deep breathing and walking as much as I could (even just up and down the halls at home) I went in at 10:00and was in my house at 4. Today I'm sore..kinda like a did WAY too many situps. The shoulder and neck thing are gone. I didn't sleep well last night, mainly catnaps. But it's done, and I'OK. Taking it easy for a day or so on the couch with some movies.

Good luck to you and let me know how you are!

    Molly

  8. Indeed, I wish you the best as well! We are fast approaching our day! Let me know how it goes!

Sue, I can't believe you are already emailing. I am so proud for you, it sounds like you did great. I have been on such a roller coaster about this surgery but I finally today really feel okay about it. Yesterday was a different story, I was ready to back out. A teacher at the school where I work had the LB last Wednesday and she told me had I asked her last week she would have said it was horrible but with that said she also has never had surgery.....I have had neck surgery so I don't think that LB could be near as painful. Congratulations, keep me updated on how you are. I go Monday for my preop registration at the hospital. Thanks for the email Pam
  11. Hi there. I'm having the same problem. I hope that makes you feel a bit better. I'm questioning my basic sanity right now, (even though the psch eval said I wasn't crazy). I've lost almost 10 pounds in the last 2 months, and am wondering if I can do it on my own. But...

I don't know about you, but I've been dieting most of my life, and gaining weight most of my life. In the last year I've had health problems. My body is getting sick . I have to stop the sickness, and the way to do that is to have this as a tool to help me lose weight. I hate the way I look, I hate that I cant play the dance game on the WII with my granddaughters because I'm too fat to keep up. I hate clothes..the big fat ones I have to wear.

I'm totally scared to death. I've talked to people who have had this done and they are absolutely loving life.

So..I'm with you!!! just remember why you went to the seminar, why you made the decision and focus on the skinny you a year from now!!!

    Hope this helped!

    Molly
