  1. Hey Dec. 19th Bandsters, Hope everyone if well. My surgery went well. No problems. Still pulls a bit at times in port site. Lost 20 lbs since the 19th. No fill yet. I have to wait until my Jan. 27 appt. The doc did put 3cc's in at time of surgery. I have started my hyalgan shots in the knee for 5 weeks and hope to be able to start walking soon. I fell on my knee that I had surgery on in Oct. so that was another set back for me walking. Please pray the shots work. I have got to get to exercising. Hope everyone has a great week. :sneaky:
  2. Hey Sue Sorry I haven't posted since surgery on the 19th. Everything went great. I had no gas pains anywhere, just really sore. I think my second day was my worst as far as pain. The place where the port is probably the one that hurts still. It feels like it is pulling. I can stand up straight and don't have to walk stooped over which is a blessing. I was truly blessed with my surgery. No driving for 2 weeks which I really don't understand. liquid diet is ok because I was already on it pre op for two weeks. Everything is good. I go back Dec. 30 to get the stitches out. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I hope to figure out how to do a ticker on here. LOL:thumbup:
  3. Sue Kudos to you. It sounds like you are doing great. I will be there with you after Friday when I get banded. Still a bit nervous. Will let you know.
  4. Sue, I can't believe you are already emailing. I am so proud for you, it sounds like you did great. I have been on such a roller coaster about this surgery but I finally today really feel okay about it. Yesterday was a different story, I was ready to back out. A teacher at the school where I work had the LB last Wednesday and she told me had I asked her last week she would have said it was horrible but with that said she also has never had surgery.....I have had neck surgery so I don't think that LB could be near as painful. Congratulations, keep me updated on how you are. I go Monday for my preop registration at the hospital. Thanks for the email Pam
  5. I am from ELm Grove right outside of Bossier City. Who is doing your surgery? I am scheduled Dec. 19 with Dr. Norwood in Shreveport.
  6. My band date is Dec. 19 and I am looking forward to it and also a bit apprehensive. I just hope the recovery is pretty easy.
  7. Sue how was the surgery and was the recovery bad? Please let me know what it was like. I am a bit apprehensive yet excited. Thanks
  8. I have my surgery set for Dec. 19th. Am very excited and a bit nervous also. Good luck to everyone.
