  3. nana i was also banded on the 24th, you have almost my exact stats, heaviest being 236,, 215 at surgery. Maybe we can track our sucess together?? I am at 212 today but i know after surgery i went up instead of down but it came off quickly. Lookin forward to comparing!! I live in Oregon outside of portland so your not too far!

  4. DonnaLee: I think I am doing the same thing. I do OK drinking my clear fluids over an hour (up to 6oz), but when I have soup, sometimes 3 or 4 oz, then I forget and drink my clear liquids as usual the rest of the hour and get a real tight chest. I guess its all a learning experience. Congrats. I was banded on Tuesday also.
  5. Stareeide4u- Congratulations. Never thought about the fact that I'm a true bandser now. I was lucky and most of my gas stayed in the stomach area, but had lots of pain due to scar tissue from my previous surgeries. Now on day 5 my port area is the only one that really is sensitive. I ordered Unjury online, plus I found some Atkins on sale. Plus it was mocha cappachino which I love. There's so many, and it seems like most people get bored after a while and change brands. Again, Congrats and I hope everything goes great.
  6. I was banded yeasterday, my 62nd birthday. Am having a lot of pain. Surgery took twice as long as my surgeon explained I had so much scare tissue from my previous surgeries. But I woke up with th Band and that is all that counts. I am ready to start my new lifestyle. Good luck to everyone still getting banded this week. There is a lot of us.
  7. Thanks everyone for all your support. I've had so many surgerys that I'm not really worried about tomorrow.I've had a complete hysterectomy, gall bladder removed, breast cancer, and 18 inches of my colon removed. What I'm worried about is succeeding in my journey after all these years of yo-yoing. Good luck to you that will be banded soon also. I'd love to stay in touch.
  8. Hi there. I'm a newbie but have been lurking for several months. This site has been a blessing, even tho I had to learn to take positive and leave the negative. I've heard a lot of people say their surgery is like a new birth. My surgery was supposed to be on March 10th, but was postponed until March 24th. I was a little disappointed but soon became excited that I can finally start celebrating my birthday again. My original weight was 237, and after preop diet I've lost over 20 lbs. :rolleyes2: I am excited, and after I recover abit in a day or two I will return with more of my story. Again, I thank everyone and wish everyone good luck.
