  1. Wow Julieann I don't know what too tight feel like. I just blog about hoping I get to my sweet spot soon. I hear how so many people get full so quick and I can still eat. But there is a different in my eatting habits. I do eat less than I did before I was banded. It's not a big diffferent like I hear other people stories.

    I hope the unfill works for u. Keep me inform.


  2. I had my filled yesterday. I think it was my 7th or 8th filled. Oct. 29, 2009 my birthday I will be banded for 1 yr.

    Seem like my LAP-BAND® is different from others a little. After people get there second filled and most times there first, they get full quicker and eat less. Me on the other hand I have still been able to eat a nice size portion meal. Granted it is less than what I normally eat. Also I see a lot of people can't eat bread, pasta, rice, hamburgers & etc. I still can eat those things as long as I chew, chew, chew. Sometimes I wonder if there is anything wrong with my band....:scared2:but on some days where I am tight then I realize there isn't.:smile:

    When I had my fill the nurse normally tells me how much she puts in my band. But I guess since she sees that I always ask she didn't tell me. (She notice I am getting a little impatience with my band) I have a 14 cc band and I know I have about 8.5 or 9.0 cc's. Reading about other people expierence after there second fill they are tight and they get full quick. This mornining I ate grits and eggs. It went down fine. It did tend to slow down a little but I was able to eat it.

    I'm not complaining....I have lost about 53 lbs. I weigh 175 and my goal is 150. And now I am trying to get my stomach flat. When I use to weigh 229 it looked like I was about five or six months pregnant.:) Now it only looks like I am about three.:laugh:

    My focus is my abs....I have been doing a lot of situps and different ab workouts. I am going to start back doing some really good cardio.

    I am hoping this will be my sweet spot that I hear so many people talking about. Once I thought I was a my sweet spot a few fills ago but it didn't last. I am hoping this is it. I am not far away from having my band filled to the rim:crying:


  3. How many cc's do u have? I have 9 and I'm not tight. Congrats on being in the 160's, I know that feels awesome and I can't wait to join u. I have my next filled Oct 5 which is monday. Hopefully by my birthday which is our bandiversy I will be in the 160's. I don't care if its 169.999 lol . Keep up the good work.


  4. I was banded oct. 29 last year. I lost 50 lbs. I haven't lost any weight in the past 2.5 months. I keep gaining and losing 3 to 4 lbs. But I have been still losing inches. My weight was 229....now its 179.....my goal is to get to 145 to 150. I have about 30 more lbs to go. I also left a message on your vistor page. If you write back leave it on my visitor page incase I don't check this blog again. Thanks.


  5. Normaly u will received your fill six weeks after surgery. (But every doctor maybe different) I weigh my self every day and if I get frustrated....then I will weigh myself once a week. My doctor told me to through my scale away. lol, as long as I was excersing, then I'm doing good.


  6. I started working out at the track from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and then off to work 7 to 5:30. I do two 15 minute walks at work also.

    I must say I am proud of myself. I have been out there every day (Monday thru Fridays)

    I am not losing any weight. I keep bouncing back and forth from losing 3 lbs and gaining it back. When I weighed myself today I had lose 1.5 of the 3 lbs I gained. But a day or two later I gaines it back. On a brighter note I am losing inches.


  7. That's right you go girl.....you do look good!!! Well I weighed my self this morning and I am 179.2. So I lost all my weight I gain plus an extra .5 lb. I know its not even a lb but I am glad to be out of that 3 to 4 lb gain realm. Booth camp is great. This is my second week. I also still do my walks at work. I don't workout at home in the evening. The doctor told me not to wear myself out.

    My daughter started booth camp with me today. I'm proud of myself. I did my liquid diet down to the T insead of cheating. I am on mushys today and tomorrow. I hope to see another lb gone tomorrow morning. I have been giving my all in my workouts!!!


  8. You go girl!!!! My wii fit said that a while back....but with the 4 lbs I gain I am back obese. And when I lose the 2 lbs I'm back overweight. I'm ready for my weight to stablize and for me to start losing new weight instead of bouncing back and fourth in this 4 lb realm I'm in. I am thankful its only 4 lbs I'm gaining and not more. I'm on my liquid diet now....I'll be weighing myself tomorrow.


  9. I'm like yoco28, my doctor want me to start over with liquids, and then musy food. I live about two hours away. So they like for me to hang out close by for example shopping etc. and drink so if I feel tight I can come back. Good thing you ate before u went home. I don't have restriction. My next appt is Monday, August 24. So hopefully I will feel a different.


  10. :lol:Girl your story sound like mine. I am 179 and want to lose 30 more lbs. My mom is tell me I'm losing to much weight. People is telling me I'm losing to fast. Hello people I lost 50 lbs in 10 months!!! How is that losing to fast. Even my doctor says I need to lose a little faster because I really wasn't doing all that good since I came to a stand still and gained those 4 lbs. I understand how u feel. We need to get to our healthly BMI. That's our goal julieann and lets stick to it. If your doctor says u losing to much....then and only then u should reconsider your goal. That stuff pisses me off to. At first I'm too fat....looks like I'm pregnant.....now I'm losing to fast....bla, bla, bla, people just always have something to say no matter what. Sorry but I'm sort of in a sour mood and that blog hit home with me. I UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS COMPLETELY!!

  11. I think its time for a fill. You haven't had a fill in four months. My doctor schedule mine every six weeks. One of my filles lasted three months and then my restriction was gone. So I'm thinking its time for a fill. Also once u start eating cookies, pretzel etc. it is hard to stop. U will have taste for those things again. (Trust me I know) So after your fill u might want to get back strict on your eating habits. As you know by now u will see the different in your weight. Also you have being doing so well for so long, I can understand your frustration.

    My eating habits doesn't stay strict for long and that's my problem and frustration.

    Also your weight lost, I'm thinking will be slower since you are at a smaller size. So even when u do get back strict on your eating habits. The scale will move more slowly and that what makes me get frustrated.

    Girl u are still doing good!!! Keep up the good work. Also change some of your exercise rountine so you can cause musle confusion.

  12. O my goodness, :cursing: I know all that was exciting. I was thinking about you and keep checking your journal to see if you blog yesterday about it . U r a whole new different person and your family didn't even reconize you. That is awesome.

    I weighed myself this morning and I gain a pound. So that makes it back to 4 lbs gain. I'm okay with it. I have been working out really good. The weight gain is because two of my three kids is in St. louis, mo with their dad. (they been there for a month and 2 weeks) So therefore I havn't been cooking. And also I had a few drinks. But my energy level and spirit is back up with working out.

    Now since your family know u have lost weight. They are going to be bugging you and asking you how much more have you lost. People seem to ask me that every other day.

    I'm glad u enjoyed yourself.

    P.S. Don't worry about the 3 lb gain. U so deserve to treat yourself!!!:eek::cursing::thumbup:


  13. Despite my 4 lb gain. I have started back working out and I forgot how good working out makes me feel. I'm still out of shape a little since I hadn't worked out in 4 to 5 weeks. But it just feels good to keep moving. I haven't weighed myself. I'm nervous that I haven't lost anything and I don't want to get discouraged. I am 30 lbs away from my goal. It sort of seems like that's a lot since I'm not losing fast. But looking at the big picture its really not. I can lose that by my birthday, Oct 29 which is also my band-anniversary. :P
