  1. Hi I have had my lapband for 2 1/2 years, haven't had great success, but I think it is pretty much my fault... my portion size are still too big, and I don't exercise enough ! Anyway... for about 1 month now, whenever I eat, 10 minutes later, I have some nausea and a bout of retching (no vomit). At first, I thought I had become lactose intolerant, because it is was better when I didn't have milk, and I was mostly fine when having soy milk, rice milk, lactaid milk, etc... But for 2 days now, I still feel like retching even though I didn't touch anything with lactose.... maybe it is a problem with gluten (celiac disease). But, I am starting to wonder what would be the symptom of a displaced band, an inverted port, a leaky tube, or whatever other possible problems. This morning, the area where my port is was a bit sensitive... but that could have been a result of the muscular strain from retching. I saw a doctor and he told me to get some blood test done, and I am still waiting for the results.... but I thought I should ask here, just in case someone experienced something similar. Thanks everyone!
