  1. Yeah, but what will be the next trend after the sleeve. However, people do seem to do well with the sleeve. I just want to find the best option for me.
  2. Hey everyone! I'm so glad to see the discussions start to pick back up in our group. I havr struggled for so long with this weight. I chose the band, because I also wanted to be apart of the process and not drastically loose the weight. But I some times wonder was the band the best for me. I know I need something to assist me with my eating. I want to be full and not just tight and nauseous. I'm just starting a new job, so I have to see if I can have a surgery. But either way I'm still working out. I can't give up on myself even if this band didn't help in the way I hoped it would.
  3. Me too. I'm so frustrated with myself. I'm really trying to get back on track. I hope to get a fill soon. I'm working out and everything. I can't be defeated. Its crazy that I now see so many people that are successful with the band, but I didn't know any when I was having my post opt issues and struggles
  4. I know just how you feel. We have similar stories. I think that I really didn't onow what to expect from the band. I had some Fluid taken out as well. I'm back up the scale, with no insurance. But I realized that I won't even let this situation get me down. I will get my fills, and if I have to pay out of pocket that's just what I will do. I'm glad that you are getting back on track. Its good to be able to see the success of the band first hand. I know no one personally that has been successful with the band. I've met people online, so I have to be the first for my people. I have friends that want it, and I pray that this time around I will be able to set the example. I don't know if I would get a fill just yet. Are you on liquids for a day and then soft foods?
  5. Cool. So have you attended any support groups for banders?
  6. Its called walk away the pounds. Its a walking video. They have one, two, three and four mile segments. Its really fun, and hard to believe you walked miles in place. You google them, but I've seen the cds at Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy. You might find it on YouTube. I wouldn't be suprised. I am really trying hard to get the carbs out my life. I've had a few moments here and there, but I don't crave rice, potatoes and chips as I use to. I do desire popcorn from time to time. So I give myself some one or twice a week and then I'm done. I think its wonderful that you are so close to your goal weight. I'm trying so hard to get to mines. I got some work to do.
  7. Have you thoughr abiut just giving your band a break and drinking protein shakes. I have been trying to drink more green smoothie. Its helped to curb my appetite. I normally like to have at least two a day. I didn't do well with my two today, but I will be sure to be on it tomorrow.
  8. I seriously need a group. The meeting o go to are for as wls patients. I want to tslk eith people that have the band
  9. I knoe for me, I have to be off carbs. No rice, no bread, no potatoes, chips, etc. How are you there? I say this, because some people learn to work that stuff down. If you can do video, have you considered the 'Walk Away The Pounds' video? The biggest thing about weight loss is the eating. I know that I have struggled with my eating, because I often let my emotions get in the way. Being here and talking it out will help you a lot.
  10. Did anyone get added to the group? Cause I'm still waiting.
  11. Things haven't been that good for me as well. I just feel like I haven't been as committed as others. A lot of people completely changed their life and eating. I'm not sure I'd I have done enough. I'm now back in the gym, I am going to be consistently meeting with my trainer and I just need soneone to keep me accountable. I was hoping to find a support group in here since I moved back.
  12. Do you have a support group on Anniston?
  13. Please add me. I needed it. I'm apart of a group on fb, but everyone there is like the biggest looser. I need help. My email is: zgwinn@hotmail.com
  14. Excuse me. I wanted to check in with everyone and see how things are going? Honestly, I'm still struggling. I've had a lot of stressors that have helped. I need a lot of help. I have to get back to where I was.
  15. Seems like the discussion died. Hows
  16. Sounds good. I wish I could say the same. Even though I haven't lost nearly half of my weight, I'm still very hopeful. I just refuse to give up on myself or my ability to get this weight off.
