  7. I just found this a my local Publix store. So I will be purchasing for my pre-op. Excited. Cause I will be on all liquids and I need some ideas.
  8. I am in. My pre-op diet begins this Friday, so that will be a great time to start..... I'm guessing. Well I am starting any ways.
  9. I feel the same way. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do. I just struggled with my decision to participate in the challenge.
  10. Hey guys. I am just following for now. I start my Preop diet this weekend. My surgery is on the 19th. I hope to join you all soon. I'm excited and nervous. I guess it's crazy to say that I don't want to put pressure on myself, but I do want to get this weight off. Ok, I'm crazy..... I do want to be a part of this challenge. But when do we have to post. Sorry people my emotions are all over the place. I need to be pushed to do something. So here goes....
  11. Here's a question for those of you that was sleeved. I know that many of you took 2 or more weeks off from work. But how long were you in pain? I also understand that everyone's situation is different, but just wanted to know. Cause I am have been at my job nearly 6 months, and I don't have a lot of leave. I don't qualify for fmla. So I am just taking a leap of faith that all will be well, and I won't need a lot of time off.
  12. Glad you are home healing. Please keep us updated.
  13. That's what I am worried about. I already have a lot of shedding, and I am trying to stop it. I think it's the lack of protein. I'm trying to include more in my hair and diet. I use henna to color my hair, I know that is a natural protein treatment, but I will also add just the protein to my regimen. I have to get this under control, cause I don't want to loose my hair as I loose weight.
  14. I was given the opportunity to pick my day. I was going to choose the 12th, but because I just got approved nearly 2 weeks ago, I think I got a little nervous.
  15. I was banded Nov. 2008. And I will be sleeved on the 19th. Wooohooo!
  16. Hey everyone! I am scheduled to go from Band to Sleeve on the 19th. I'm excited and nervous. I'm natural as much as I need this weight off, I don't want to loose my hair. Are there any natural out there. What do you do to maintain your length? I was told to start taking biotin prior to the surgery and to continue after. I was thinking about prenatal vitimans, but I am not trying to have a oppsie baby, right after. I welcome and support and information
  17. My date is the 19th. So I will be right behind you.
  18. I agree. I know I need the support. I start my liquids next Friday.
  19. Thanks so much for the explanation. I guess I misunderstood. I am happy to be full in my stomach and not in my throat (esophagus). I know this is a journey that I need. I am happy to have people on this journey that understand what I am going through, and the journey I am to take.
  20. Mines is scheduled for September 19th. I am super excited. I am getting this damn band out, and I won't have a hunger hormone. I am praying that this is my time and season!
  21. I know that I haven't had the surgery yet, but I have to respond. You are still new. Your body is still healing. If you can't eat now, know that it won't be forever. You should talk to your surgeon. You might need to eat super soft foods longer.
  22. I love it! You are the person that I need to hear from. Glad you are having a wonderful experience.
