Jack's comments about binge eating being about the fear of being hungry could have been written by me! It took me a long time to figure it out, and I haven't heard of too many people who feel this way, so I felt relieved to hear there's someone else with that fear out there too. It really makes little sense when there's an abundance of food all around me, but getting really hungry generally makes me nauseous and I avoid that at all costs. That's why I know the band will be the perfect tool for me!! I HATE barfing in the worst way, so eating too much or too fast will be something I'll watch like a hawk!
I'm being banded November 29 in Green Bay, WI by Dr. James Kemmerling. I will be going on a liquid diet on Nov. 22nd and for 2 weeks after surgery. I must tell you, I am terrified that I'll feel sick, faint, have terrible headaches from not eating my normal meals! I do NOT look forward to it at all. Does anyone out there have any advice?
