  1. Congratulations on your Banding! Hope you're recovering well and it will get better each day. Just so you know, we started out at similar weights/heights...not too far off (5'8"/248 lbs., less at Banding)...I was 142.5 this week, so keep the faith...it will take some time, but it will give you SO much time back! Keep me posted!

  2. Hey sweetie! Sorry I'm so far behind here! Great to hear from you and that you had a wonderful summer. Things are great here and I just got my middle one back to college and my youngest is off to HS after Labor Day. It's been a wonderful summer, but it went way too fast!!! -BG

  3. Hooray for Dr. Urbandt...my hero! The new fill has me back down and I'm just a few pounds again from where I want to stay. That whole office is great! -BG

  4. You're doing great! Congrats on the WL, and thanks for the friending...let me know if I can help with anything! -BG

  5. OK, I officially hate the new setup here. I didn't know I was getting any comments to recent blogs as I couldn't see them until I clicked on each one. Glad you're winter is full of snow and new ski equipment!!! Sorry about the unfill...I'm thinking they're just a part of the process. I'm back in the 150's (just) and hope to get back down about 5 more (so my pants fit LOL). Love ya! -BG

  6. Just checking in...sounds like things are maintaining very well! Send some warm weather this way!

  7. Thanks for the friending! Looks like you're doing well, and you've certainly got the right knowlege and additude to reach your goals! Let me know if I can help with anything! -BG

  8. Thanks for the friending! Let me know if you need help/support with anything and I hope your journey is going well! Hey, I was just looking at a Long Island map today...my Mom grew up spending her summers at a home her Uncle had on Lake Ronkonkoma and we're looking at taking her there this summer (sounds like Fire Island has the vacation homes to rent though). Let me know if you have any ideas!

  9. Thanks friend! Sounds like things are going well and you're on your way to the Sweet Spot! Hope this next fill does the trick! -BG

  10. Hey friend! Your new pics on the blog are AMAZING!!! I know you'll be at your goal soon...and happy Bandiversary coming up!!! I'm so proud of you!!!! -BG

  11. Hey Kelsey! How's your LB journey going? Still waiting for a fill here (only half way us from my unfill) and still bouncing up and down the same 5 pounds. Miss you! -BG

  12. Thanks for the friending sweetie!! I thought we were already friends LOL. -BG

  13. Just wanted to thank you for the nice comment! I hope you're out of Bandster Hell (or soon will be) and finding some help with restriction. Best wishes with your journey and drop me a line if I can help with anything! -BG (Oh, and my youngest plays the guitar in a garage band, so maybe I'll be a real groupie some day LOL)

  14. Hey sweetie...hope you get this as it doesn't look like you're back here much (wish I had your email). SO glad to hear from you as I've been wondering and worried about you!!! Send me an email when you get a chance so we can chat!!!

  15. Thanks for the friending and congrats on the WL! Off to your blog. -BG

  16. OK GF, deep breaths. It's a lifestyle change, and there's no race. After my big unfill this summer (2cc's), I've been hungry...I went back to my old 'I should be able to do this myself now' mode and I'm now wearing 10 new pounds (I've got a Doc visit on the 12th). It's all too easy for us (especially we pro-dieters) to go back to old ways...building that headband is harder than the Band part.

I think WW is a great idea...the new system is easy and it's more teaching you a lifestyle than deprevation and dieting, so I think it works well.

Glad your back so we can support each other through all this! Let me know how I can help! ((hugs))

  17. Hi friend, and thanks for the message! Read as much as you can here (the 'stickies' with information in the Forums are a good start). And ask questions as you go. You're at the right place for support!

I remember how nervous and excited I was starting out...it's all normal. Keep me posted and let me know how I can help! -BG

  18. Hey sweetie! Missed you and can't wait to hear about the vacation!!! Hope the laundry pile isn't too big ;-)

  19. Whoo Hoo!...and you thought it was a crappy day LOL! -BG

  20. Thanks for the friending! I read your blog...don't worry too much, everyone thinks they've 'done something to their band' at least once (or me; several times). I do have to remind you that the time for creating a complication is MUCH more likely during the healing period you're in right now. Bandster Hell sucks, but if you're starving, just remember...TINY meals at this point until your internal stitches heal. Keep in touch and come visit me on my blog- link in my sig (you can comment without an account even, just use 'anonymous' choice). Hope the Doc visit goes well this week and keep getting those fills...Bandster Hell won't last forever, I promise :-) -BG

  21. Just checking in to see how things are going with you! Hope you're having a great summer! -BG

  22. Not much left in this brain, but what I have is yours LOL!

  23. Thanks for the friending. Congrats on your upcoming surgery and approval...SO exciting!!! Let me know if I can help with anything! -BG

  24. I don't see how Crystal Light would be any different than water nutritionally, but if you're worried I'd give your doc's office a call. -BG

  25. Hi JA!!! SOOOO glad to hear from you! I hope things are going better with DD and all your stress (I eat when I'm stressed). I went up 6 pounds very quickly after the partial unfill and it scares the bejeebers out of me...I've been fighting the snacking and sweets as well. I'm back to the Doc on Tues., so we'll see what happens. It's an ongoing battle and learning process! Keep in touch! -BG
