  1. Update 8/19. I am down 40 lbs. My daughter is now 2 weeks out and stalled at 20 lbs. Now, I know it is just something that happens and the weight will continue to fall off.
  2. I have a question. I am about 5 weeks out and I feel like hell. I am trying to go back to work. Every morning I am light headed and sick. I eat . I even try protein shakes that I will throw up. I keep having to get my blood pressure medicine lowered. The actual point of the surgery. However, every time it changes I have problems again. My thyroid meds had to be changed because I am now getting to much. Did anyone else ever feel like this and will this get better? I have lost 30 lbs since my surgery 7/13/11. I just had my blood work drawn again today. I am a little frustrated.
  3. I had the same thing happen last year. I had started with cigna. Half way through process insurance was switched to United. I was completely freaked out. However, it all worked out better than with cigna. I had my surgery on July 13 and my daughter is having hers on the !st. It covered both of us. You just have to make sure your Dr. is a provider as well as the hospital he operates. Good luck!!!!!!
  4. Ok, I am just over 2 weeks out. I have lost 20 lbs. I am only able to eat maybe 600-700 calories a day. I am still on a soft diet. I try to get in all my protein and water. That is really hard to do. I am concerned because the last 5 days I have not lost any weight. Actually gained a 1lb. Is this normal? Not much going in and nothing coming off. I am going to the gym and doing my 30 minutes of cardio. Also, since the surgery I have been having allergic reactions. Just about any thing will cause my hands and feet to itch like crazy. Grass, dust, really anything. I was not allergic to any of this before the surgery. Weird huh? Now I am taking benadryl @ least once a day to stop the itching. Any advice from my veterans out there would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. I had my surgery on Wens. the 13th. I am feeling really good except for the shoulder pain. They told me I would get it due to the laproscopic gas. It is like an ice pick in my shoulder joint. My friend is 5 months post op. She too had this problem she said it will take a week to go away. She also told me she is starting to lose her hair....hmmmm. I hope I don't get that. As for my period it was supposed to start two weeks from now and started yesterday with a vengeance! Surprise! Must be the hormones. I have lost 11 lbs. In 5 days. I did not expect it to be that fast. I am eating a liquid diet with puddings and cream soups. And lots of added protein. NO problems keeping food down. I just fill up really quick. I am excited to get my drains out on Thurs. other than that I am just going day to day! I am just so happy I am never hungry! I know that will change but I will enjoy it as long as it lasts!!!!!! Pre -surgical weight 265 lbs. was 254 this am.
  6. I am thinking about having the lap procedure done @Jfk by the same Dr. you used. I have my first appointment next Thurs. Can you tell me how it went for you? How was the process? Are you glad you did it?
