  3. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary Dominic!

  4. Hey, thanks for the friend invite. You seem to be doing so well with your band!

  5. I haven't really tried grits, but I've had a lot of oatmeal and cream of wheat since my procedure. Speaking of Chinese, I had that for dinner tonight; I was able to eat sushi, lomein noodles, and fried fish.

Have I had "rough" spots with food yet? Yeah, but I really only think that's because I'm still learning how to eat slowly. I can't exactly eat bread yet, but I suspect that I will in the near future.

So, your mother went down that many sizes in one year? That's really impressive! I'm hoping to look like my pics by the middle of the Summer, but I'm not getting my hope up too high; I'd be happy to be half-way there by then.

You're right about the one-week pre-op diet. I binged like crazy the week before my pre-op diet and managed to gain close to 10 lbs!!! I can't tell you how relieved I am to have my portions under control.

  6. You won't have to worry about the junk food, because you simply won't be able to physically eat it - trust me. As for myself, I'm doing much better. I can actually eat a bowl of eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheese without coughing it back up now. I was worried about not being able to eat "normal" foods at first, but after the 2nd week, I discovered that those worries weren't based on reality.

  7. Hey, thanks for the friend-add and picture comments; you're very nice :)

    How's everything going for you?

  8. See? I told you that you'd be surprised at how long the hiring process can take! Congratulations!

  9. LOL, I didn't take it like that (I had to go to head out at the time). How are you today? No worries, Lufferly :)

  10. Well then, that's probably just because there aren't many guys here.

    I frequent the chat too.

  11. Sure you don't, but I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get a few fans soon ;)

  12. Thanks a lot, that's sweet of you to say.

I don't have new pics up yet, because I'm waiting to post multiple ones showing my progression. I've been taking pics, but I haven't much progress to show just yet.

Regardless of what you say about your pics, you look very nice in them.

  13. That's excellent news. How much is it going to cost you? I paid mine in full; $15,000.00... I don't regret it, but I wish it would have been cheaper.

I'm 11 days post-op. I think I confused some people with my pics, because they're from 2 years ago (I gained all of my weight in the last 2 years). I hope to be back to my old self in 6 months or so.

  14. I'm doin well, Lufferly. I'm almost at the end of my 2nd week (tomorrow) and I feel pretty good. How are you?

  15. I'm doing well. I'm learning how to eat with my band, but I'm doing well. How are you?
