GOOD LUCK tomorrow Riley! I'll definitely stop by and see if they'll let me say hi to ya. I hope it's a fast and painless recovery and can't wait to hear all about it. (((hugs)))

I had fun too, next time I will have a sitter for Soph though. She was so restless! Tina, did you hear back from Liz about when your pre-op classes will be? That would be fun if we had them on the same day!

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Ah, okay. This makes more sense now. Maybe I still have a chance to have a March surgery date. I'll definitely let you know asap! Thanks for the info. See ya tomorrow!

Tina, were there earlier dates available in March that just weren't available to you since you'll be gone? I'm just trying to get an idea in my head of when I might be offered a surgery date.

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Also, what surgeon do you have? I have Fisher, I think you said you have Baggs? I wonder if every surgeon's availablity is different...I would assume so.

Only 3/31 left? That really sucks. I'm hoping for a miracle then that I'll get something for March. With only 1 day supposedly available in March I don't know how they could possible wait 2 more weeks before opening it up to schedule surgeries...are you sure about this? If that was 2/9 and they weren't opening April until 2/23 then what happened to all the people that had CM appts between 2/9 and 2/23? When were their surgeries scheduled for? The only day available when you had your CM appt was 3/31 and that's it?

And also---I hit the 30 lb mark today! WOOHOOOOOO! I've officially lost 30.5 since Dec 1st. I'm so excited to be a bit under my goal now and I'm feeling less nervous about stepping on the scale and being under 270 on Monday at my CM appt. SO EXCITED!

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Yay! I'm so excited to meet up with you all.

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Hi Jeff! I have Dr. Fisher also. Can you tell us a little about your pre-op and post-op experiences? How long did it take you from orientation to surgery? I have my case manager appt next Monday with Liz and I'm curious how long you waited from your CM appt to surgery...can you give me the scoop? Nice to meet you!

Ok girls! Why don't we meet at NOON on Thursday, February 19 at BJ's Restaurant in Natomas? The address is 3531 N. Freeway Blvd and the phone number there is 916.570.1327. Then whoever wants to can do some shopping afterward! I know I will. :frown: BJ's has a huge menu with lots of salad and soup options if we're wanting to keep it pretty light, and it's right in the middle of all the shopping areas across the parking lot from Target and Old Navy. Please RSVP in this thread so we have an idea of how many will be meeting up and I can call ahead and get us a booth. This will be fun!

It's funny that you mention that. I had exchanged emails with a girl at my orientation (who lived in Sac) and last week I emailed her to see how she was doing and let her know how I was doing...I still haven't heard back. I'm thinking that's not a good sign.

You are a fast tracker, Nicole! You busted butt as far as you could and would've been 4 months from orientation to surgery 3/3, that's super fast! You opted to have the later date cuz of the convention, so you're still a fast tracker in my book.

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Cool, that's what I thought...every couple weeks/twice a month.

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Sounds good, I'll come and see ya then and hopefully you'll remember me! LOL. I'm so excited to have a date in my head now, the tough part has been knowing that I'll eventually have a CM appt...BUT WHEN?!?! It's much more fun to have a day to count down to...10 days left. WOOHOO! So you could've had only a 3 week wait for surgery, that's awesome. I hope Dr. Fisher's schedule is open enough that I only have to wait 3 weeks. That would be the middle of March! (I love that Feb is a short month!) So do you know how often Liz does the pre-op classes?

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Riley, I remember Liz talking about "fast trackers" and I came home that day and told my hubby there was no way this was gonna take me 6-12 months and that I was gonna be one of the people that were on the "fast track". I'm so proud that I did it and will do what I set out to do! I would love to come see you on the 23rd! Do you think you'll be up for a visitor just a couple ours out of surgery? Do they allow visitors? I guess they do, if you can have family come with you for surgery. That would be awesome to see you on the big day! Did they schedule your pre-op classes before you went to your CM appt or at the end of the CM appt? That would be so cool if they'd schedule them now so we could get them done possibly before the CM appt and our surgery dates could be set sooner. Do you know how often they have them the pre-op classes? I think I heard 2 times a month...

Aw, you girls are the best! If you only knew that YOU all are my motivation! Knowing that you're all doing so well is what keeps me accountable and is a constant reminder that I'm doing this for ME. You're all such sweeties! SOOOOOO---today was a HUGE day for me! I weighed at home and was 269.6!!! UNDER my goal for the first time, yippee! So, I drove my soon-to-be-little butt on over to Kaiser and did a weight check and was 270.2 with clothes on! (Richmond told me as long I was 270.5 or under I was fine). As soon as I walked out the door I called Richmond and they looked up in the system to verify it and I got a crazy soon appt for 11 days from now, Monday Feb 23! I'm so freakin' excited, I now KNOW that this happening, and it's happening fast and soon! I'll have my CM appt 2 days shy of 3 months from my orientation class, I can't believe how much faster this journey has been instead of the 12-18 months they quoted me over the phone the day I got my orientation scheduled. I'm over the moon today! Thanks to all for your friendship and support. I know we're all gonna be a part of eachother's life for a long, long time.

Also, I'm available any time on Thursday...we could either meet up to shop before lunch or meet at lunchtime and shop afterward for those that want to. My day is totally open so you guys that have older kids in school or jobs to sneak out of can pretty much decide when to meet!

HOLY CRAP!!! I saw 270.4 today! Woo hoo hoo! I'm so excited, hopefully tomorrow I'll still be there (or better!) and will do my weight check at Kaiser. I called Richmond and asked what can my weight be to get a CM appt scheduled...if my goal is 270 do I have to be 270.0 or less? She said that as long as I was under 270.5 I'd be fine... I'm so excited but also nervous that I'll be up tomorrow. I've eaten really well today but have only had about 40 oz of Water...need to chug some from now til bedtime. I took a picture of the scale because it's taken so much to see it be this number! I started my "diet" on 12/1 so it took just about 9 weeks to lose 27.5 lbs. I'm so happy and proud of myself! Now I know how all you gals that are at goal felt on that day.

Hey girls, would any of you be able/want to meet up next Thursday in Natomas? We can have lunch and maybe shop if anyone wants to (I do!). We thought that with people in Yuba city, Elk Grove, Sac, Suisun and Woodland that Natomas would be a good mid way meet up spot...plus there are TONS of restaurants and shopping there too! Whaddaya think?

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Lots of good stuff! Thanks for all the info. I bet this all seems so REAL now!
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Did she schedule your pre-op and nutrition classes? Or will she give you those dates when she schedules your surgery?
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
That sounds like a great appt! I can't believe they're still scheduling in FEB!! What Feb date did she offer you? Sounds like everything's moving right along! I hope I can get in soon after hitting goal (hopefully this week I will hit goal) for the CM appt so I can possibly be in Feb or early March. This is so exciting for all of us! We're all getting so close. Congrats!
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Yeah, I'm not messin' around with these last few pre-surgery weigh ins! I mean business!
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
DOOOOO IT! I did a weight check last week and wore a sundress (with a cardigan over it that I took off for the scale!) and socks (cuz I had sandals on). So all I had on was a sleeveless sundress, panties, bra and socks! They won't think you're crazy, Liz told us at orientation that everyone does it at the end. I bet your date will be mid-March!
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Reggie got Dr. Park, which is cool because between all of us I think we've got all 4 surgeons! Tina, just don't eat or drink anything until your appt and wear your lightest weight clothes possible and bring socks so you don't have to weigh with shoes on and I bet you'll be fine! I can't wait to hear all about your appt and see when your surgery will be. What surgeon do you have again?
