  1. Last week I had my first visit with my surgeon and he told me that he would not do the lap band if I have acid reflux.:w00t: Which I am not sure I have, I get heartburn once or twice a week. Has anyone else had this problem or more problems with acid reflux after banding? Thanks
  2. Congrats!! When my time comes I hope it goes that easy for me!
  3. Hi, I work for an insurance company and medically necessary means there has to be a health reason for the procedure, not just cosmetic. For example getting rashes or other skin irratations that won't go away or keep coming back. Hope that helps Sue
  4. Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sue and I live in Minneapolis, MN. I have about 115lbs to lose and I have tried every diet. I have been thinking about the lap band for a while and now I think I am ready to get serious. I am going to an informational meeting this morning at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. I would like to hear from anyone who used Abbott for their procedure. Thanks!
  5. Hi, Just starting my lapband journey and I am looking for a surgeon in Minneapolis. Any suggestions? Or any I need to stay away from. Thanks
