Well I tried it
I feel everything going through my stoma to varying degrees and when I am feeling really tight I feel things in my throat area too as they go down. I think what you are experienceing is normal, try drinking something warm shortly before eating to open up your esophagus and relax all those muscles

THanks LapBandit, I like the blonde better too I have naturally blonde for half of my life and as I've gotten older my hair has darkened to light brown, yuck on me. I let it go natural (heaven only knows why) and changed it back to blonde when I started school. Blonde is definitely more me

Need to Vent...need support!
You have been at this a while Margo and are doing great. I went through this a little while ago. Inbetween my first fill and good restriction. I had been good for so long that finally I just needed the band to do most of the work for a while. I was just tired. I sounded like you when I was ready to recommit and refocus my first goal i made was to drink my water! I did baby steps, one goal at a time. Are you tracking calories? Do you need a fill? Hope everything gets back on track for you soon

Big News!!!
I don't have any new pics yet. I need to take some tomorrow Today for the first time I looked in the mirror in my bedroom rather than the one in the bathroom which is really 3 mirrors and plays optical allusions as to size. So for the first time today I saw how much smaller I am getting. It was really exciting That and another skirt is on the ever increasing pile of too big and needs to be given away I have more clothes in that pile than in the closet hehe time to shop

Grats Indianlight Speaking of which, I was getting dressed this morning and decided to wear my favorite black skirt that I haven't had the opportunity to wear for a while. Well, it was so big it sat on my hips, widest part and with a little tug would come right off. It is a size 30, I guess my 30's are just way too big, it is now on my ever growing pile of clothes to be given away. I am gonna need some new clothes soon

Hey Josette I am so relieved about your lab results, as for your hubby, whop him upside the head and tell him to get out and find a new job. And remind him that you don't enjoy laundry, dishes and toilets but you do it anyway because it has to be done. My back is still hurting because I am back in school standing all day. I did a lot of hair today so a lot of lifting my arms up for extended periods and a lot of bending. Did 2 perms a haircut and a creative foil (with turquoise) and now I am heading to bed. A foil and two haircuts tomorrow then my weekend starts Hope all is well with everyone

I really NEED some answers
Coffee is a laxative and could very well be the culprit. I have been told that coffee also contains tannic acid which is the used to tan animal hides, eww. Now I don't know if that is true but I do know that when I used to drink coffee my stomach always hurt, gave it up a few years ago and has made a big difference in how my tummy feels. I would try to go without a week or so and see if that helps.

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
Always remember that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are more active now than you were then you are probably building muscle. If the scale isn't moving but you are getting smaller, you are indeed losing fat but gaining valuable muscle. Eventually the weight will drop off faster for the muscle you have built :welldoneclap: Just keep making good choices (I fail a lot too) and walk or go to the gym and it will happen.

Well holiday family BBQ was today. Between Steak, grilled marinated veggies, watermelon and yes I had a 3"sq brownie I came in under 1200 calories for the day Hopefully I will see the payoff in the scales tomorrow if not then the next couple of days. And thanks for all the support :welldoneclap: I too am just about ready to wear my 28's out in public

You should be fine and I think it is sweet that you are doing it together :girl_hug: Gaining on mushies is very normal. You did preop diet then basically starved for two weeks on liquids now all of a sudden you are eating again and your body is saying food! must store it! This will pass ass you move into solids, then it will be a matter of caloric intake and how much willpower you have till you are able to get restriction. No one expects someone to lose prior to getting fills. You are healing and that is all that matters. I know you are eager to lose and I know frst hand that desire, but trust me it will come. So relax and enjoy your pudding :girl_hug:

Head hunger vs real hunger If I am hungry for crap it's head hunger If my stomach is growling it is real hunger There is an inbetween hunger where my tummy isn't growling yet but I still feel "hungry" for healthy stuff like veggies or some chicken then I eat. If I reach the point of growling I try to have a snack first then wait about 20 minutes before eating my meal other wise I scarf too fast and slime. The snack is usually something that can't be eaten too fast due to texture or can't get stuck due to texture. Hope that helps

Good Morning down to 306 Thanks for defining stones for us learned something new My friends have always been supportive and thankfully cheer for every pound and always tell me how great I look.
