  1. Good luck to you! I also had my surgery on Thursday. I was banded at 10:30. For the most part, I am fine. Just a little sore, and just as you dealing with the gas pains. "No pain, no gain". Wouldn't take nothing for the changes that are happening. I lost almost 20 lbs. following the presurgery diet, and am looking forward to losing the rest. God Bless you on your journey!
  2. Hello fellow bandster, I was banded in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday, Nov. 13. I am doing pretty well. I am sore a little, and don't have any appetite. It's hard to swallow water due to gas pains, and I am regaining my energy. But I am so glad I made these steps to improve my health. Blessings on your path to wellness.
  3. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I am having my surgery today at 10:30. I am excited about the changes that will occur, but also a little anxious and edgy about potential side effects. I appreciate hearing your positive experience and also your encouraging words.
  4. Crystal, We have the same surgery date. I feel mixed emotions about the surgery , as well. However, I know that this is the right decision for me, and so I pray for covering, protection and commitment to be successful with my choice. D.
  5. Thanks for responding. I feel the same way you do. I know from this wonderful website and the posts I've read that it's not easy, but the prospect of having my surgery does restore my hope and I has really motivated me. Sometimes we just need a boost. God Bless!
  6. Hello All, I am so excited to have discovered this website. It is an amazing source of information and resources. I first explored the site yesterday, and I stayed on it for a few hours into the middle of the night. Many of my questions have been answered, but most importantly, I have read about things I need to consider in my post-operative phase. I am scheduled to have surgery on November 13. I am still on a high from receiving the news that my insurer would cover my surgery. It is a blessing, and something I have hoped for a while now. I had to undergo 6 months of counseling, and I completed that in September. Now, finally, I only have a couple of weeks to go. I can tell from what I've read from others that this journey--to wellbeing--won't be easy. But, I know that I am committed and that I have the support of my husband and children. I also will hopefully have the support of the many bandsters that use this site. God Bless! Dana:smile:
