    Pain in stomach

Has anyone ever experienced a pain below the sternum between the breasts after eating? Just wondering what is going on. I've had my band about 5 years. Thanks
  2. Has anyone experienced port pain after a good workout?
  3. I had my second fill yesterday and it went fine. 30 minutes later I was in horrible pain in my abdomen. It felt like I had 30 pounds of air trapped in my stomach. Then began to feel sick to my stomach and needed to vomit (while I am driving in traffic in the rain  After I spit up, sorry, gross, I felt better but the gas continued all night until I got home and took some gas X. Just wondering if anyone experienced something like this. I called the doctor and am waiting for them to call back. I feel great today.
  4. I still get his pain but it is from eating too much. It hurts so badly. If I take gas-x right when it starts it does help. I thought I was having a heart attack. It was awful.
  5. I was banded Nov. 08 lost 25 pounds initially and nothing since. I have not gained but still. I watch what I eat. I could exercise more but this is really rediculous. I need dynamite to start my metabolism. Please help.
  6. Has anyone ever had a terrible pain under the breast bone after eating which was followed by horrible gas? I had this and it lasted for 4 days. Had my gallblader checked and everything was fine. I guess it is possible that I over ate but not enough to cause that much pain. Just wanted to know if anyone ever had that. Thanks.
  7. Hi everyone, I have had my band for about a year and have lost 35 pounds. I have been at a plateau for at least 6 months. I have great restriction so that is not the problem. I only exercise 2 times per week but thought with limiting my food intake that I would be able to loose. Any words of encouragement or suggestions? Thanks.

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Well I did register yesterday and am so happy that I did. I have less points than I did the last time I tried WW (pre band) so that made me happy. I'm not worried about eating over my points like I used to be. I'm sure though that I will have those days. Hope you all have a great day. I think a chat would be great.

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

I woke up this morning and thought about joining WW on line. Then I thought, I have the band, I should be able to lose more weight. I have only lost about 30 pounds in almost a year. Although happy with that, I want and need to lose more but have been stuck and not eating the right foods. I just happen to be on this website after many weeks and found this post. It must be fate. After I write this, I am going to sign up for WW on line. I am so happy to have this post and all of you for support. I have done WW at least 10 times and have never been succesful because I was always hungry. I know that this time will be different (post band). Sorry for the long post.....
  10. Hi everyone, I had my fourth fill a couple of days ago. I now have 6.5 cc's in my Realize band. I can swallow Water and food but I have to take tiny tiny bites and little sips of water. Up until this point I could guzzle water and eat bigger bites. Am I too tight or is this how it is finally supposed to be?
  11. I had to gain weight for the surgery as well. It wasn't 25 pounds, more like 10 but it wasn't hard once I got going. I was weighed in right before surgery with only my gown on. I was told by my doctor's office that if my BMI was below 40 on the day of surgery that it can be canceled. The surgeon's ethically (and for insurance purposes) cannot perform the lapband procedure if your BMI is under. Make sure this is something you really want before adding on that extra weight.
  12. Hi everyone, I just had my third fill a week ago and definitely have restriction. I have been able to eat and drink just fine, but yesterday I think I ate too much and about 4 hours later I had terrible pain (felt like trapped gas) and felt sick to my stomach. It lasted for quite some time. Finally after some pain medication and gas x it went away. Has anyone experienced this? I have no idea what it was. thanks for any feedback.
  13. Does anyone know of a support group in or near Riverside, CA? Thanks.
  14. Hi everyone, My current weight is 194.8. IT"S SO SLOW!
  15. I am doing pretty good, but a little frustrated by the slow weight loss. I was banded on 11/11 and I have lost 21 pounds. I am very happy with the weight loss but was expecting a little more by now. I have had two fills and have 4.5 cc's in my Realize band. I do have restriction most of the time but I am not exercising as much as I should so that is part of the problem. All in all I feel good and my clothes are get bigger.
  16. I usually drink a Protein shake for Breakfast but it seems as though it only fills me up for a couple of hours. Just wondering how long others feel about Protein drinks and how long you stay full. Thanks.
  17. I have been banded since Nov. 11, 2008. I drink them in the morning because it is convienent. I could probably eat something else because the Protein shakes only work for about 2 hours. I have tried many different kinds. Thanks for the feedback.

    New in temecula

Hi there, I am in Menifee and looking for someone close to me to communicate with. There is a support group in Corona the 1st and 3rd Sat. of the month. That is the closest one that I know of. There might be one in Riverside but I'm not sure. Please e-mail me back and let me know if you would like to have a buddy.
  19. I'm glad to hear that you have restriction. I am about 2 months out and definitely not losing much at all. I'm not sure how much is in my relize band because the PA got air into the syringe while he was filling it. He thinks maybe 3.5 or so but not sure. I definitely eat less than I did and I do exercise but it is getting frustrating. I don't get another fill for 4 weeks. I had my first one 3 weeks ago. I hope I get there sooner than later.
  20. Hi everyone, I have seen this in some of the posts but not sure what it is. I have seen pouch test and pouch diet. What is it?
  21. I am so happy to read this post. I don't get my second fill for another 4 weeks. I think I only have about 3 cc in 10cc band. I do have some restriction but not a lot. I eat less than before but had a 6 inch subaway sand. today and ate it with no problem. I got full on just that so that is good but I am looking forward to that really great restriction. Congrats to you.

    platue already

I was banded on 11/11 and have had one fill. Air got in the syringe so not sure exactly how much is in there. I do feel some restriction but I can definitely eat more than 1/2 cup. I just try to eat right and exercise, both are hard sometimes. I think I am somewhere around 18 pounds down but haven't weighed because of my friendly visitor. We can do it, we just have to be patient.

    starting over

I had my surgery on 11/11. I know what you mean about falling back into the old me. I snack a bit too much too. I really try not too, but it is hard to break old habits so quickly. We just need to be mindful of the band and try to follow the rules as best we can. You, and I, can do it!

First Fill - not bad at all

I had my first fill yesterday and it was fine. He found the right spot the first stick. However, air got into the syringe so I was only able to get 3.5 cc's. On liquids today so not sure if I have restriction or not. I have to wait 6 weeks until my next fill. Hope I can loose some weight because I have been at a stand still for at least 3 weeks now.
