    As I Sit...

I can relate to you completly! I too do all those "girly things" just to make me feel good. I am over weight and will be attending a smeinar Feb. 16th. I am hoping that I will gain some courage to finally take control of my life as well. I love the idea if sitting in front of the mirror as you eat. How unique, and I bet it would help grately! What a great idea! Good luck to you, and please keep me updated! NanaHall

    Lap Band vs. Sleeve

HI! OMG we have so much in common! I read your post and thought to myself, now this is me! The only part different is my daughter had Gastric By pass instead of my husband. She had hers almost 2 years ago and has done remarkably well. She has reached her goal weight and has 200#'s! I was there through thick and thin. I watched her struggle and know how hard it has been for her. She had many problems at first, but soon learned what she needed to do with the "tool" she had been given. I couldn't be more proud of her than I am today! I myself have struggled with my weight for at least the last 10 years. I too have tried all the "diets" out there. Weight watcher's did work, as long as I was exercising. In two years ago I lost 50#'s, but then it stopped. No matter what I did for a solid month after than, I could not lose an other ounce so that was it for me. I quite, and in the last year I'm back up where I was, maybe heavier. I am 5'2 and currently weigh 220#s. I am frustrated and know that I have got to do something. I called my daughter and ask fro her help. She enrolled me in a Seminar, guess that's the first step. She said she will be beside me all the way! Thank God! My concern is if I want the LapBand or the Sleeve. I will have to research this a ton more before I make that decision. Guess more than anything I wanted you to know that you are not alone. There are a ton of post here that will help you, and if nothing esle give you hope, at least that's how it is for me. Take Care, and know that there are those that care! NanaHall
