  1. .....no snide remarks from this end Cloe.....I read those books too.....love 'em. We have a good used book store here that has a lot of the true crime books.....a few have really stuck with me. I like to alternate....a nice "soft" feel good book with a menacing twisted one!! (I also figure it is valuable research in case I ever need to get any ideas!!!) MWWWWWAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *evil laughter*:embarassed:
  2. We have out outdoor decorations up but haven't done our indoor ones yet.....not even sure we are going to do those ones this year.....
  3. Thanks Cloe....I have a doc. appt with the specialist (endocrinologist) tomorrow...he is the one who really went to bat for me and recommended me for the surgery etc.....(long story) and he put his reputation on the line for me (& a few others).....so I reallllllllllllllllllllllly wanted to be able to sincerely tell him that I've lost SIXTY pounds (just sounds better than saying 59!)....and now I will be able to do just that!! It's important to me that he see that what he did was a good thing and NOT all for nothing!!! So I am excited to see him tomorrow and tell him.
  4. LOL....I'm sorry Cloe...I know it isn't funny....I can't help you there though......but good luck with the Quest..... poooor poooor cloe....:straight
  5. LOL that is a funny story Cloe!!!! I would have wanted to smack that guy upside the head!!! I'm sure Mr Cloe also found the irony in that situation!!!! Okay....so, Mr Yoda was looking over my shoulder this round and said "what the hell is "ginch""??? I said, you KNOW that word....tis underwear....well, he couldn't stop laffin' and said the word is "Gitch". LOL.....and now that I think about it, he is right....that is the term I've used...."gitch" not "ginch"!!! LOL.....maybe that make a difference for ya Cloe?!! (I think my mind was on "grinch" for Xmas!). One more thing Cloe......OVER 70 LB WEIGHT LOSS?????!!! TOOOOO AWESOME!!!! :clap2: :clap2:
  6. seriously Cloe? You never heard "ginch"....like, "don't get your ginch in a twist?"
  7. tis a common term in my vocab! (but then again, I'm also immature!)

  13. I also really liked Summer Sisters. I am now into reading all of the books by Perri O'Shaughnessy (pen name for two sisters who are the authors)....there are 11 in this series and I am on the 3rd right now; I really enjoy the characters. I also LOVE the 3 books by Ann Brashares: "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants", "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood", and "Girls in Pants - the Third Summer of the Sisterhood". I love to read and have a voracious appetite!
  14. Congrats Khrissy and welcome to the other side!! Doriana....how did it go for Mr. Doriana??
  15. Because your bed is a damn air mattress!!!! :notagree (by the way...kewl story above!)
  16. Geeeeeeezus Mandi.... you look SPECTACULAR!!!!! I don't even know where to begin so let me just say: ALL OVER!!!!! Hey....Dandi looks hot too....he has lost weight as well, eh? So, if seeing those comparison shots don't give you a dose of reality....nothing will!!! You are gonna blow them away at Xmas, I tell ya!!! Just don't stand too close to people or them pointy collar bones might poke someone's eye out!!! Then, there goes all the fun! Thanks for sharin'!
  17. Exactly. Me too Mandi.....that is how I felt too which is probably why I'm shocked that I've lost almost 60 lbs and I'm not smaller!! LOL Reverse body dysmorphic disorder!
  18. No nibblin'? That is awesome Roxanne....GREAT NSV....well done!!! Yeah, Xmas parties.....ours is next week (potluck); I'm bringing Nanaimo Bars....I think I"ll be okay....as I'm too paranoid that something bad will happen if I'm "bad" in public!! Aaaaaah, the shame of fear! Works everytime! I think it might be "tougher" and a little more obvious (that I'm avoiding stuff) when I go to the "at home" thing though (you know what I'm referring to, Roxanne!)....so wish me luck! That is next week as well.
  19. Here's to you stayin' in ONEderland Mandi!!!! :clap2:
  20. Oh...and Cloe...no....you're not crazy (well, you are, but not about what you said up there!) LOL> I"m sure we can all relate to some extent. I don't like to tell anyone how much I've lost....because they freak out and then I can see them looking at me and thinking, "geez, it doesn't look like she has lost almost 60 lbs....she is still so big". (cause, I am!). And then it bothers me that they will think, "gee she has lost 60 lbs but look at her, she must have soooooooo much more to lose"...."holy crap how much did she weigh in the first place"!!!! LOL. So, yeah, I getcha.
  21. Glad to hear u are doing better Cloe..... yay!! Mandi....it's all in our self-image....I can understand that you might not see a HUGE difference (cause of that whole body dysmorphic disorder thing that we likely all have) but you just have to trust everyone and "logic" on this one....people are going to flip out when they see you!! Angel Bear...you are doing fantastic!!! I"m like you....I go for the 10 lbs....then the next, then the next etc.....makes it not seem so insurmountable. Mandi, that is such a nice idea about the photos....they will love it. We are almost done our Xmas shopping!!! Only two more things to get.....once again we ended up spending so much more than we would like.....I just wish we wouldn't exchange gifts with anyone; it would make it so much more simpler!
  22. Likely no worries Doriana....don't forget, it has ONLY been 6 days!!! I didn't experience shoulder pain but I know that a LOT of people do....very common.
  23. I do believe today is Wednesday and if I'm not mistaken Wed is Mandi's weigh day.....here's hopin ur still in ONEderland after your b'day cake!!! *Fingers crossed*.....(hehe, I bet you still lost....ya FREAKO!!!!).
  24. *scratches head*....ummmm....actual "dumping" does not happen to lapband patient.....perhaps they have a phamplet they hand out to Bariatric patients and they lumped banding in with it. Dumping is most certainly something that you do not need to worry about.
  25. ...bumping....
