  1. My insurance doesn't cover LapBand, so I am self pay. I went for my first visit/orientation on 10/21/08 and I will be banded this Thursday, 11/06/08. I think a lot depends on if you're using insurance, and how quickly appointments can be set. I was "done" thinking about it and READY to go! So, I told them I wanted to do it ASAP.
  2. I'm on day 4 of a 13 day ALL liquid pre-op diet, so I can sympathize with you. I can have 6 protein shakes per day, and all the FF broth, FF popsicles, and FF jello I want; plus 64 oz minimum of water. I am surviving by SCHEDULING my shakes every 3 hours (first one at 6 am, last one at 9 pm). I sip water constantly, and fill in between shakes with the other things. By planning and KNOWING when you'll have the next "meal" you can break your day into manageable segments. This is by no means easy, but it will be well worth it in the long run!! Good luck to you.
  3. Hi all. My name is Donna but my friends call me June. Surgery Date: November 6th, Dr. Gonzalez, Dallas, Texas Highest weight: 205 Current weight: 198.6 Goal weight 120-130 Pre-op diet started yesterday, and it stinks. I've had a headache since 12 hours into the diet. Good luck to all my fellow November bandsters! June
