Band Changes During Pregnancy
I have found it worse as the pregnancy progresses. I had to have a complete unfill as I could keep nothing down. Even now with no fluid in the band I am still not able to keep food down unless it is very soft. Should settle once baby gets here though.

Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers
DS is 13 months and we use mainly cloth. A mixture of Baby Beehinds, PeaPods and some I made him. I am already working on my nappy stash for this bub and he/she will be in nappies all made by me. Gotta luv MCN's.

Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
Well I went and saw my surgeon today and he did a complete unfill. He said it should help heaps and it has. I came home and was able to drink water plus I had some low fat yogurt. For dinner I made pumpkin soup. It felt so good to be able to eat a bit and not throw it straight back up. He also weighed me and in 5 days I had lost 1.5 kg, mostly because I couldn't keep even fluid down. At least I know that the baby will now be getting proper nutrition plus I can go back to the eating plan my dietitian has me on. I am feeling much happier again :frown:.

Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
I haven't posted on this forum for a long time but thought this might be the place to come back into. I am 16 weeks with our second baby and am not going well. My band only has 4 cc in and I am throwing up everything that goes down. Some days are ok but others I can't even get fluids down. It feels so tight that I often only eat one meal a day and its never very much. I have tried going back to liquids which hasn't really helped. One day I can eat something with no worries and then the next day it could be making me sick. I think I need to get an unfill. I am just so sick of throwing everything up.

Worried I am eating too much, please help..
I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and sharing your personal experiences. I saw my doctor yesterday for the first time since my surgery and he is really happy with how I am going. I told him about what I am eating and how much. He told me not to worry and said I was on track. Such a hugh relief. He has even decided to give me my first fill sooner as my weight loss has bee, to use his words, 'wonderfully good'. Needless to say I am a happy camper now . Thanks again everyone.

Worried I am eating too much, please help..
I am a few days shy of 4 weeks post op. I have healed well and am starting to eat more solid food now I am at the end of my mushie phase. I was told I would only be able to eat about half a cup of food at a time but I am eating more. Sometimes I can easily eat a full cup (measuring cup) before I feel full. I have had no fills yet. I always stop once I feel 'full' and have only overeaten on a few occasions (mainly at the start of the mushie phase when I sometimes ate too fast). I am worried as I have been the same weight for two weeks even though I am walking for 45min every second day. I am eating well and have only had a few 'naughty' foods since my op. By naughty I mean ice cream or potato bake that has full fat cheese in it. Has anyone else had an experience like this? I am stressed as I don't want to be one of those people who has the band and doesn't loose any weight.

How do you know if your band has slipped?
Thanks for all the replies. I feel a bit better about my band now. for a while I thought it had slipped but I don't think it has now as I have no pain and I am not vomiting.

eating too much?
I am like that. Now I am on mushies I was told to eat only half a cup of food but after I have eaten that amount I still feel hungry. It was suggested that I eat 6 half cup meals a day but I struggle with that too. Sometimes I feel like I could just eat and eat (not that I do) I worry about that.

Question
Hi Sassy I just wanted to say I know how you feel. My first 4 days were the worst when it came to having pain from air and not being able to burp. I tried walking etc but nothing really helped that much. I was told to have clear fluids for the first 24 hours but wasn't really into having anything other then Water or juice because I was worried about making it hurt more. I think the only thing that really helps is time and waiting for the swelling to go down. I hope your starting to feel a bit better now and that the air is passing a bit easier. If your Soup was a bit thick maybe blending it up or adding a bit more Fluid will help it to pass. All the best:smile:

How do you know if your band has slipped?
Hi Just a curiosity question. How can you tell if your band has slipped or not? I was just wondering.

Omg!
I know how you feel. I am loving this rapid weight loss ( I have lost 10 kg or 22 pounds since starting my pre op diet 4 weeks ago. 5 kg/ 11 pound since I was banded on Friday 31st of October). I am scared about starting mushies though.

Pressure and gurgling? (4 days post op)
Hi All Today I have a very constant feeling of pressure in my upper abdomen and a lot of gurgling. Is this normal? Passing wind and burping don't seem to help much. What can I do? It is very uncomfortable:frown:

Newly banded Oct. 31st, 2008
Hi there, I was banded on the same day as you and know just what you are going through. I was starting to get worried about that tight feeling you described in the chest, glad to know that it is part of the healing process and not just me. I hope it passes soon too. I am guessing that it is part of the healing process. Good luck to you and I hope your feeling better soon. :rolleyes2:

OCT 29th anyone?
Hi, My op date is two days later on the 31st of October. Not the same day I know but I will be glad to share some emotional support with you too. Support makes it so much easier I think.
