  1. Daughter needs to know

    Hi,
My wife and I were banded in Michigan about 2 years apart by the same Dr. but we had insurance. My daughter lives in Pensacola FL. and wants to come here to have it done. The problem is she has no insurance and was told it would be around $17,500. I'm trying to encourage her to get it done in Fl. Does anyone Know of Dr. Friedman in Pensacola and what he charges and is there any type of financing available. She is about 5"10 270 lbs. If you know of anyone else in that area please let me know? Thanks
  2. Going in Reverse

I am now 30 day's Post-Opp and going for my first fill in two days. I went from 249 sept 24th Pre-Opp to 239 on Surgery day.
I went 2 weeks on liquids then mushies1 week then real food, Very little, I got to 223 and daily weight varries between 225 and 228. I document everything I eat for the nutrisionest. Is this normal or is something wrong? I'm getting afraid to eat.
  3. Finally Hit the SWEET SPOT

I was banded 10/8/08. Started at 249lbs. Today I'm 215lbs. I hit several plateus but after I recieved this last fill I can no longer eat more then 1/2 cup of food before I feel full. I always had good restriction but never felt full. I have a realize band with 8cc's in a 9cc band, I couldn't be happier :smile2: Be patient, don't try to rush the weight loss. My goal was to loose 50 lbs. in a year. I'm 14 lbs away in just 6 monhts
    GOD Bless!
